PART 38

MEGS P.O.V

Dinner was nice and we were now enjoying a nice walk in the park when I noticed a group of guys standing in a semi circle laughing like a group of hyenas. Their obnoxious voices grew louder the close Niall and I got. I internally cringe when I notice where they are stood. "Of course," I mutter to myself. They would be right in front of the exit of the park.

Suddenly Niall picked up on what I was unsure about and grew raver overprotective of me. I will never understand the male actions, but it it's cute and I'm glad that he is with me at this moment in time.

The closer we reached them, the louder their voices got. A thick aroma of cheap drugstore brand cologne and over used hair gel slowly came into my line if vision. I kept my head held low, not wanting to cause any unwanted attention to Niall and myself.

I wasn't one to get nervous around the opposite sex. They didn't usually bother me or make me quiver in my boots. Yet, I wasn't overly cocky or confident around them either. Especially these ones.

I looked quickly, wanting to get a better look at them. They looked familiar. One of the group looked at me and smirked. I remember them from somewhere but I can't figure it out.

"What's wrong?" Niall asked.

"I think I know them from somewhere but I can't figure it out." I respond.

"Let's walk over that way, I can tell that your starting to feel uncomfortable." He pointed in the direction of the other side of the park.
I nodded and we carried on walking together.

I stared at the group of men and they stared back at me. I can't figure out how I know them though. I carried on walking beside Niall looking forwards, but felt the burn on the side of my face where they were still looking at me.

"They keep looking at me." I whispered to Niall.

"Maybe they know you from somewhere." He replied.

The group of men came over to us there was three of them.

"Out on a Week night? My eyes must be betraying me." They said. I looked at them confused. "She's all grown up now lads." I stopped in my tracks, knowing that voice from anywhere. Tom stands out amongst the group of the obnoxious guys. That was when I remembered who they were. Shit.

This can't be happening. They can't be here. Not today, not with Niall.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Just came to say hi to our friend." Tom said, patting my shoulder. His eyes watching me with sheer amusement.

I can hear their obnoxious snickering from behind him. My eyes rolling in response, manoeuvring my way past him and his group of friends. But much to my luck, he breaks away from them and cuts in front of us.

"Don't touch me." I said through clenched teeth. The smell of fresh liquor lingering on his breathe.

"What, we are just trying to be friends." He said.
Niall looked confused.

"Just leave." I said.

"What if we don't want to." The other one, Jack questioned.

"Please. Just go. You have caused enough harm to me through my school years. Just leave." I said, balling my fits.

"No." Jack said.

Tired by this conversation, I push past him once again. Holding Niall's hand, leading him away from the vial men. Yet, like he always does, Tom pulls me back by my arm.
