I'd Love To Walk, But I Cant Hike

"Excuse me?" I asked into the phone. "It's just one meeting I don't think it can affect much, plus Danielle really wants you to come" Vic practically pleaded. "No, Danielle wants to get on my good side so inviting me to go hike with her is a way of doing so" I explained to Vic, "Cmon its just one track meeting, just tell one of your friends to take notes for you" Vic said. I rolled my eyes, "why should I miss my track meeting just to go hiking with you & Danielle?" I asked sassily. "Well, because, you can get to know more about Danielle, you love to walk & hiking is pretty much the same thing, & you love me" Vic said

I scoffed, "hiking & walking are 2 different things Victor" I said getting annoyed at how easily he could say that nonsense. "Oh really? How so?" Vic asked. I scoffed again, "hiking is a sport, hiking involves mountains & getting into the woods. Walking is more of an activity, something for exercise or for stress. Plus I don't like the woods, you know I'm an indoors person Vic" I said. "Yea & it's time you get out of the house & into the woods, you're coming with us" Vic said sternly

I groaned, "I should be there in 5 minutes to pick you up" Vic said before he ended the call. I whined a little before heading over to my friends, "Alexis can you take notes for me at the Track Meeting?" I asked her, she nodded as I handed her my notebook. "How come you can't make it?" Alexis asked. "I have to go hiking with Vic & his little lady friend" I said in a disgusted tone. They all nodded, I was currently in school & it ended 5 minutes ago but since I tried out for Track (& successfully made it) I stayed after school with Alexis, Damon & Chris. Alexis tried out with me & Damon & Chris play basketball & they had practice today

I sighed & Damon stifled a laugh, I glared at him smacking his chest. He hissed in pain rubbing his chest, "someone's upset" Damon smirked. I gave him a disapproving look before I heard Vic's car honk from behind me, I hugged Alexis, Damon & Chris before walking over to the car. I opened the passengers seat sitting down & just to make my point that I was pissed off, I slammed Vic's car door shut. He sighed as his hand reached for mine but I took it out of his reach looking out the window. "Oh so this is how you wanna handle it?" Vic asked, I didn't say or do anything but after awhile I nodded but didn't look him in the eye

Vic rolled his eyes driving away from school. "I bought you these" Vic said handing me a bag, inside were 2 packs of Skittles & a can of Arizona tea. My weaknesses. "This changes nothing" I said opening my first pack of Skittles, he chuckled. "Whatever you say princess, you love me anyway" Vic said smiling. After awhile Vic sighed looking at me, "why do you hate Danielle so much?" Vic asked looking back at the road. "Vic I think we both know why" I said popping a Skittle into my mouth. "But please just tell me, I want to see what I can fix" Vic pleaded, I groaned in annoyance. Gosh he's stubborn. "Well let's start with the fact that she likes you" I said chugging down gulps of my Arizona. "Honey, a bunch of girls like me what's different about her?" Vic asked chuckling. I rolled my eyes, "honey" I mocked smirking "those girls are teens with no chance whatsoever, she's an adult & actually has a chance" I explained

"Good point" Vic said pursing his lips. I took this silence as a chance to continue, "and then there's the fact that she wants to be your girlfriend" I said shuttering at the word girlfriend. "What?" Vic blushed a deep red making me wanna gag, "Victor please don't act all surprised. It's obvious to even a frickin blind person!" I groaned getting a little frustrated, is it just me or does anyone else find it annoying when it's obvious to the entire world that 2 people are madly in love with each other but those 2 people are just blind to it. I feel like I'm the only one

"Okay, so what if she wants to be my girlfriend?" Vic asks shrugging. I gave him a 'are you kidding me' look taking a deep breath. "Vic breakups are like being in the middle of life & death," I began "life being you guys maintain a healthy relationship for several years later on leading to marriage & my biggest fear...children." I paused swallowing more of my Arizona. "And then there's death, sad, painful, death" I sighed shaking my head. "Death would be you guys breaking up, leaving you heartbroken. And then that'd make me heartbroken, & that would make my friends heartbroken, & the entire world would be left heartbroken" I explained
