*DANI POV*

Imagine having your best friend, more like a sister than a friend, get hit by a car while the person who adopted you was in there as well. You'd be pretty freaked out so I'm not the only one who can get blamed for acting nervous and scared at the same time

"Cmon we're getting breakfast" Jaime pleaded standing on one of the steps of my ladder. We came home from the hospital at midnight since the nurse said that we couldn't stay there to sleep. We came home and we all went to our bedrooms, I skipped dinner since I couldn't eat. Vic and the guys forcefully shoved food into their mouths although they were wanting to skip dinner just like me. Ever since I locked myself in my room I haven't gotten up, not to eat, not to use the bathroom, nothing. "I'm not hungry" I reply to Jaime smuggling more into my bed "but you haven't eaten a thing, cmon at least drink something" Jaime said climbing the last steps until he was on my bed with me

"I'm not hungry, or thirsty, I'm fine" I say avoiding eye contact with Jaime "baby cmon, I know it hurts to know that she's in the hospital but you do need to eat or drink something, want me to make you a smoothie?" Jaime asked crawling under the covers with me and I felt him hold my hand from behind. I sniffled turning around to face him

I pulled him closer and cried into his chest as he hugged me close "it's okay, she's strong she can make it out of this" Jaime reassured rubbing my back "but what if she doesn't? Half of your fans are saying shit to me and her while the other half are actually being supportive and its so confusing!" I say looking up at him "ignore the bitches who tell you that, they don't know anything" Jaime said shaking his head as he pulled a strand of my hair behind my ear

"They know how to hate" I say chuckling. Jaime laughed at that one as he pulled me into another hug "everything's gonna be okay" Jaime whispered into my ear very soothingly. I buried my head into his chest as he draped his arm over my waist

We stayed like that for a while just comforting each other "Jaime! Dani! We gotta go to that hospital!" Vic yelled, he sounded awfully worried. Jaime and I got out of bed and quickly ran into the living room "what's wrong?" I asked looking at vic, he had a tear stained face but they were hardly visible with the new fresh tears that were pouring out of his eyes "we gotta go now!" Vic yelled running out that door with Mike right behind him

We all got inside the car as Mike turned on the engine. I kept looking out the window and repeatedly checked my phone. These are signs for the guys that meant that I was extremely nervous and/or scared. "Remember what I told you yesterday, take deep breaths" Tony reminded me putting his arm over my shoulder. I nodded remembering what he said yesterday.

It seemed like 4 years had past but we finally made it to the hospital. I quickly took of my seatbelt and ran towards the entrance not caring that I could've gotten hit by a car. I walked in there and the guys followed out of breath, we took the elevator and I kept pacing and chewing my finger nails

The elevator finally opened its doors after another million years. I raced to the glass windows but she wasn't there, her bed was there but her body wasn't "are you looking for Katey Fuentes?" A nurse asked coming up to me "yea" I said very breathily "I'm sorry to inform you that she didn't make it not even half way through the surgery" the nurse explained. It literally felt like someone ripped my heart out and started stomping all over it before slapping me across the face with it

No no no, I refuse to believe this, my sister isn't dead! No! She can't be! I prefer it be me or anyone else but not her! I let out a whimper and dug my finger nails into my scalp shaking very hard "no, uh-uh no I refuse to believe it" I say slamming my hand on the wall out of pure anger "I'm sorry miss but it's true" the nurse said shaking her head
