Asteria:

He said it would be a more comfortable first date. I don't know what that means so finding what to wear is a shot in the dark. I decide on my favorite My Chemical Romance tee, the one with the castle and the little bats on it. I build that up with a light denim jacket, black beanie, and black leggings. I throw on grey boot socks and my trusty combat boots before curling my hair and adding a deep red lipstick to my usual make up. Some silver bracelets and layered necklaces touch up the outfit and I feel great. Most importantly, I'm warm. These later weeks of November are freezing and I'm amazed it still hasn't snowed. I look over at the clock and I have about ten minutes before Brendon should be here.

I grab my purse and stuff it with snacks, chocolate, make up for touch ups, and tampons. Thanks a lot, mother nature. I fill my water bottle and there's a knock on the door. I scoop my sunglasses up from the coffee table and open the door. I realize went with the right attire when Brendon is wearing black skinnies, boots, a black tee shirt, and a leather jacket. He looks good...he looks sexy. He pushes his hair back and smiles at me.

"You look great, babe." He kisses my cheek and grabs my hand and it hits me that I'm heading to the radio station with Panic! At The Disco. I never knew life could ever be this exciting.

When we get to the radio station doors Dallon is waiting outside shivering. He sees us and jogs over to Brendon.

"Finally! I've been here waiting for like twenty minutes! It's freezing out here!" Brendon clears his throat and starts leaning his head in my direction. "Asteria! Hi! Nice to meet you again!"

"Nice to meet you again too!" I shake his hand but he pulls me in for a hug.

"Let's go in! You can meet Kenneth and Danny and we can show you where you'll be sitting while we interview!" Dallon excitedly leads us inside and to the studio. Kenneth rushes over to me.

"Asteria! I got your name right this time," he says proudly and I let out a laugh. "How's your noggin?"

"It's not hurting anymore," I say with a smile. He smiles back and Daniel rushes in.

"Hi! How are you feeling?" This is such a different dynamic from when I met them for their single art.

"Much better. Everything's back in my brain," I say as I tap my head and they all laugh.

"Alright you guys met her. Let's calm down now," Brendon chimes in and they all make various 'awh' sounds and gestures.

They have me sit behind a glass wall so I'm able to still see and listen and I'm next to the sound engineers. I put on a large pair of headphones and Brendon watches me through the glass. He seems distracted as he looks at me and I can't help but blush. The guys struggle to get his attention and he's instantly embarrassed by something Dallon said. They haven't turned the equipment on so I can't hear them.

"Here you go," the engineer next to me says and suddenly I hear their murmuring. I thank him and listen in on their conversation.

"We get that she's pretty but you need to focus for this interview dude!" Daniel tells him. I let out a small laugh and the engineer turns the volume up for me.

"Can you blame me? She's named after a goddess for a reason!" Brendon laughs and they all roll their eyes and laugh.

"I'm impressed Brendon. You're really proving us wrong here. You know after-" the audio is cut off and I glare at the engineer.

"Something's should stay private," he winks and I huff. I know he's right but that might have been useful to hear! The radio show host walks into the booth and they all exchange hellos and handshakes. They have a seat and I hear the engineer turn the sound back on and give him one last glare.

"Alright guys good afternoon! I'm here with my very special guests Panic! At The Disco!" The engineer hits a button and generated clapping joins the real clapping in the studio.

"So guys what have we been up to? We've got a big present for your fans today don't we?" He asks and they all start nodding and Dallon speaks first because Brendon keeps looking at me.

"Yup! Guys today were very excited to say that we are releasing our new single and we're so excited for you all to hear it, aren't we Brendon?" Brendon's attention is snapped back to the interview.

"Yes we are! We're so excited."

"Great guys! Tell us a little bit about it!"

"Well, this song is basically about regrets and being left in the dark. It's kind of just about this character and he uh, he makes a lot of mistakes and decides that he needs to turn things around." Brendon looks at me when he talks and I give him an encouraging smile.

"Instrumentally, what kind of mood do you think people are going to get from this song?" The interviewer asks.
"I think definitely an element of loneliness. The feeling of nostalgia and a fear of the future," Brendon responds and they all agree.

"Let's see how this goes guys, here's their new single!" My ears welcome the hum of the song that I heard in the studio when I was drawing their single artwork. When it ends applause fills the studio.

"Amazing guys, absolutely amazing." I nod in agreement and they all thank him.

"You guys also brought a guest into the studio with you, someone we recognize from a recent vine of yours can you tell us a little bit about her, Brendon?" Brendon freezes and makes a face before answering...he seems...upset?

"Yeah this is actually the artist that designed our single artwork," he tells the interviewer and my heart sinks. The audio engineer thoughtfully offers me gummy bears but I politely decline and he rubs my back. I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt lime that was a low blow. "And she's my girlfriend."

The engineer and I both jump up and look back to the studio. He looks uncomfortable.

"Yeah we were able to tell by that intimate moment you shared with us!" Dallon pats him on the back and this seems to encourage Brendon.

"I just wanted the world to know that I found the most beautiful girl on the planet and somehow by fluke started winning her over." He looks over at me and smiles and I know I'm probably bright red.

"Can we bring her in here?" The interviewer asks and I freeze. The engineer plucks the headphones from the top of my head and guides me into the room. I sit next to Brendon and he squeezes my hand and smiles. Dallon and Kenneth both give me a thumbs up and Daniel winks.

"So tell us your name sweetheart," the interviewer says as I place a new set of headphones on.

"Um, I'm Asteria Vayne. I'm a graphic designer at Fueled By Ramen," I say shyly.

"How long have you guys known each other?" He asks with a smile. I look over at Brendon.

"Just a couple of weeks," Brendon answers. He's very tense.

"Wow! You really went public about it really soon!"

"Can you blame me?" He answers with a laugh and he places his hand on my thigh. I turn pink and cover my face and the guys let out a simultaneous "awh".

"What are you guys going to do when you start performing for all of those festivals in a couple of weeks? Is it going to be hard to keep such a new relationship going when you'll be gone for about three months?"

Three months?!

(A double update as promised! Sorry to cut it so close in the middle but I'll definitely be updating again very soon!)
