Brendon:
"What do you mean she said she doesn't know anymore?!" I shout into the phone, desperation clear in my voice.
"That's what she said! Pete's in there talking to her but you really need to cut this shit out! We're waiting for the doctor to see her before we go to get your dumb ass!" Dallon screams back. I tug at my hair.
"Is she hurt?"
"Of course she's fucking hurt, you knee'd the shit out of her and practically broke her wrist you moronic asshole!" I hurt her...I fucking hurt her...
"Okay this isn't the time for fucking lectures I'll be here waiting for you guys. Please make sure she comes because I'm losing my fucking shit."
I slam the phone down before he says anything else. I lie down on one of the holding cell benches and stare at the ceiling. I really had no idea it was her pulling me off. I'm an idiot. I mean I really messed this one up. The guy isn't pressing charges on me after hearing the entire situation, so that's great, but I'm not worried about Douchebag. I'm worried about Asteria.
Another hour passes before I hear a heated debate between Dallon, Asteria, and Pete come in through the door.
"I don't want to be here!" Asteria whispers loudly and it breaks me. I feel tears starting to rush down my face. Within the time that she was in the hospital someone else was brought into the holding cell and he looked at me.
"I ain't never cried over a bitch in my life, man. Get your shit together," he tells me.
"Shut the fuck up!" I retaliate in a pathetic crying voice. The goddess appears infront of me and clears her throat.
"Damn!!! Keep crying bro! This shit is making my eyes water, you're about to lose the baddest bitch in New York!" I roll my eyes and almost want to punch him, too, for eyeballing my goddess. Get your own.
"Ri I-"
"Don't fucking Ri me, you asshole." She says coldly and I'm completely shocked that those words just came out of her mouth.
"Hold on a fucking second Asteria because you didn't even give me a chance to explain!" I shout. I know I've fucked up when it seems like her eyes go black. Her chest is rising and falling with how heavy she's breathing. Pete and Dallon watch wide eyed.
"You think I'm mad about whatever the fuck happened with that girl?" she shrieks. Where are the cops? Where the fuck is a cop when you need one?! I'm about to be fucking murdered! I back away from the cell bars. "Get your skinny little ass back here."
Her growls send me straight back and she uses one hand to grab me by the shirt collar, pulling me directly to her face. I know it's wrong but I'm a little turned on and I've never been so afraid and so attracted to one woman.
"Do you know what this is?" She holds her right arm up and my heart sinks. I know exactly what that is. I give her a nod before letting her continue. "What is it?"
"A brace..." I mumble.
"Wrong! It's the consequences of your stupid fucking actions!" She shoves me back and Dallon and Pete snort and snicker. Yeah, I'm sure this would be hilarious if I WASN'T ABOUT TO DIE. "So here we are again. Are you going to start crying?! Are you going to ask me for another chance Brendon?!"
She waits for an answer but I'm speechless.
"Baby, I just want to let you know I'd never hurt you." Asteria and I both look at my jail cell companion and before I can say anything she's already on top of it.
"I am not your baby and you do not want to start that shit right now," she growls and he throws his hands up in surrender. He looks over at me and mouths 'you fucked up'.
"Ri, I'm sorry. I didn't know it was you. I didn't know that you were pulling me-"
"I don't give a rat's ass whether or not you knew it was me. You know what I do give a rat's ass about?" I didn't know such a tiny body could hold so much anger. I shake my head. "The fact that I have to take another work leave and have to transfer to a different division of the label's marketing team because of your dumb ass!"
I look at Pete and he gives me a nod and then shakes his head at me, reminding me that I should be ashamed.
"I'm sorry, I-"
"I am so far from fucking done, Brendon Urie. My ribs were refractured. I have to drop out of school for the semester because I can't complete my assignments, I have to work with the Dean to see what I can do to keep my financial aid going, and that's all because you had to punch some idiot in the face! I worked hard, Brendon, I worked really fucking hard to have the things that I have right now!" Tears start streaming down her face and I'm positive that I'm the worst person on this planet. "You're coming in and ruining that! You're ruining all of it! You have no idea how to change! You really don't! And I just need to be away from you right now...I can't be around you..."
Pete and Dallon both look at each other, mouths open wide and eyebrows raised. They must have tried to talk her into staying. Tears come from my eyes now but she just rolls hers.
"Save it, Urie. I paid your bail. Now get the fuck out of this cell and get a fucking Uber home."
"I'm not going with her, she might eat me," Dallon says as he looks at Pete. Pete sighs.
"I've known her for like a few hours and you're going to send me with her?! She'll kill me for sure!" Their debate continues and some dark haired, blue eyed, model looking mother fucker walks up to them.
"Hi, did you guys bring Asteria? She sent me a text message but I didn't see her waiting outside," he tells them. Who the fuck is this joke? They might as well not let me out because I'll end up right back in here.
"How did you get her number?" Dallon and Pete ask angrily.
"She gave it to me in the ambulance truck," he says with his hands raised to his chest, cautious of the looks he's getting.
"Who the fuck are you?" I ask and the guys roll their eyes.
"My name is Greg, and who the fuck are you?" Douchebag Greg asks me.
"I'm her fucking boyfriend," I tell him.
"Yeah, she's not so sure about that, so I'd take it easy if I were you," he says as he lets out an annoyed huff.
"Greg, thanks for coming."
"Asteria, come here. Now." She shoots daggers at me but walks over.
"Can you give us a minute?" she politely asks Douchebag Greg and I gag when he says he'll be waiting for her by the door.
"Who the fuck is that?"
"The ambulance that I met after you hurt me." She's weaker now. She's not as angry. She's just hurt.
"Asteria, you know I didn't mean to do that. Please don't leave with him. I reach out of the cell and grab her other hand. She stares at it as I run my hand back and forth along her arm, then looks me in the eye. I've lost her. She doesn't even have to say the words. I can see it.
"Goodbye, Brendon." I reach as far as I can through the cell, trying hard to keep her hand in mine but she leaves without looking back.
Dallon shakes his head at me.
"I told you to knock that shit off, dude," Pete tells me. "You're really deep in the hole and you're gonna have to fight for her to come back."
"Dude, she's not coming back," Dallon says. I think he might be right...I think this time I really fucked up...
