"Lina can you gather all the presents under the tree so we can open them?" My mom asks me.
"Yea, of course," I nod.
I walk out the kitchen from washing dishes. All my family members sit in the living room talking about funny memories, and I can't help the smile from forming as I listen along. They're so compatible with each other and they tell all these funny stories. I love Christmas because of the time we get to spend with family. Family is always precious, and I don't know what I would do without it.
I take all the presents from under the tree and bring them closer to everyone. They all had tags on it to notify who it belongs to and who it's from. All the cousins on the floor talking amongst each other.
"Okay! Presents are ready!" I yell over them.
Everyone grins widely and I begin to hand out the presents to the receivers. My little cousin Shay got about 16 presents from everyone, the little ones always get the most. After handing out loads of presents, since we're 16 people, I sit down beside Kian on the floor with my pile of presents in front. Kian even got a lot of presents, my family keep telling me that he's part of the family and I'm so glad they love him as much as I do. He's amazingly well with the large crowd, and doesn't hesitate to introduce himself.
"Which one are you going to open first?" Kian nudges me.
"Hmm, my uncles and aunts first," I wink, "saving best for last."
He reddens, but keeps the big smirk on his face. He decides to keep mine last too, just so we can be surprised together.
I open the presents from my married aunt and uncle, it's a packet of matte Mac lipsticks, one in maroon, pale pink, and red. It's so lovely and I've been dying for the matte lipsticks. I give them a big hug, thanking them. Then later I got, bath and body works gift basket filled with goodies from my other uncle. Mac eyeshadow palette, necklace and bracelet set, chocolate and cookies, gift cards to all my favorite stores, and more.
Finally, I get to Kian's present and he reaches to mine also. We rip the wrapping paper slowly, making sure not to ruin whatever was inside. My gift is in a small long blue box. I open it hesitantly, looking up at Kian who is excited. The box opens fully and an intricate necklace lays in the middle. With the look of the gems I can tell they're real diamonds. I cover my mouth as Kian wraps his arms around me.
"Thank you so much," I whisper.
"Your welcome, do you like it?" He asks.
"I love it, seriously Kian, I can't believe you would buy something this expensive," I shake my head as I let go of him.
"It was really nothing, I just want to get something for my lovely girl," he plants a kiss on my lips.
"Thank you so much," I smile, with pink cheeks, "now open mine!"
Kian chuckles and takes my present in his hand. His is also in a box, but it's all sand colored with Gucci written on top. His eyes widen as he opens the box holding his brand new large watch. It's black and gold and has a large face to it which I think he'll love about it.
"This is crazy! I love this," he connects our lips once more.
"I heard you say you needed a new watch a long time ago, so I got you one," I grin.
"I can't believe it, it's so cool," he examines it.
"Yea, I love the color especially," I nod.
My mom stands up and walks to the tree, she pulls out more presents from underneath. She knits her eyebrows and tilts her head up at me.
