Our Secret Love Story

Chapter seven

Phoenix's POV

Willow and Ronnie left me and Max alone in Max's camper. We sat in a awkward silence for a while till I spoke.

I'm sorry I was being a bitch, I don't know what got into me.

It's fine he said, I thought hated me or something he added.

No! it's not that at all, I just let my past get me. He looked at me.

What do you mean? he asked.

I was scared to tell him I never told anyone except for Willow, but I took a deep breath.

I was in a relationship with this guy. I thought I loved him and that he loved me, but it wasnt that. He cheated on me, he hurt me, and used me. One day he got really pissed and he beat me badly. Willow was the one who found me, she made me break it off with him, and that was it. I guess I'm just scared to love again I said getting quiet. I felt myself tearing up. He grabbed my chin and pushed my face so I was looking at him, he took off the sun glasses I was wearing and kissed me. I melted into his kiss it atually felt passionate and meaningful, but it wasnt right so I pulled away.

You don't know me I whispered resting my forehead on his.

He pulled away, he looked hurt. Then tell me, who is Phoenix Danger? He said forseing a smile.

I laughed at the danger part. I bit my lip I trusted him, so I told him my whole life story and, all about Willow being my only real friend growing up, except for Kyle and Tony. I told him that they lived close to us and we hung out alot till they moved, they eventually moved back but me and Willow left for the journey we are on today. When I was done he gave me a sympathetic look.

What's your story? I asked him trying to get the attention off of me.

He told me how him and Ronnie met, and that his dad was never really there for him. He told me that him and Ronnie could relate about there parents, just like me and Willow could.

I ran my hand through my hair I needed to wash it.

Max can I take a quick shower? I asked him.

Sure he said getting up. He showed me where it was and said I could use any thing I needed, I thanked him and shut the door. I undressed and started the shower it felt nice, I quickly washed my hair and got out I stared drying off when I realised I didn't have clothes.

Crap I said to myself.

I cracked the door open.

Max? I said can I um borrow some clothes? I asked.

He went and got me some of his clothes. I took them through the crack makeing sure he couldnt see me. I know he already saw me naked, but I still felt uncomfortable. I put the clothes he gave me on and put the hat he gave me on and walked out. He started stareing at me when I walked out.

Like the veiw? I said jokeing.

Yep he said with a smile, now come sit he said motioning for me to sit on his lap.

I laughed, I don't think so I said sassy.

Awe come on he pouted.

I shook my head and he sighed looking down in defeat, but he looked back at me this time he had a serious expression.

Phoenix, you know I actually care about you and I would never hurt you he trailed off.

I bit my lip and nodded. I felt tears starting again. I think I'm falling for him.

Please don't cry he said worried.

I similed a little. I then walked over to him and sat down on his lap. He hugged me I couldn't hold back the tears. I started to cry, he rubbed my back as I cryed into his shoulder. I wasn't even sure why I was crying, I quickly calmed down. I stayed there listening to his heart beat while he still rubbed my back, and the next thing I knew I fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of the camper door shutting loudly. I looked up and saw Willow and Ronnie stareing at us. I realised I was still on Max's lap, I quickly tryed to get up but I lost my footing and fell on my ass.

So I guess you two are friends now? I heard Ronnie say, but I ignored him and sat back on the couch, rubbing my face. I still felt tired I looked at Willow.

We need to go get our stuff, if those boys havent already thrown it out I told her. We had bags we brought to the beach with us but we left them at the party I told Max and Ronnie.

We will go get them, you two stay here Ronnie spoke up, he motioned to Max to get up so he did and they stared walking out.

You sure? Willow asked concerned before they left.

We will be fine he said looking at Max.

Yea we will be okay, and I don't want them bothering my girl anyways he said. Ronnie smiled and they left.

I sat there shocked did he just call me his girl?

Willow sat next to me. So tell me what happend.

I told every thing that happend when they left. Awe! she squealed when I finished. I smiled and rolled my eyes at her, she giggled.

It's been 20 minutes sence they left, I was getting a little worried, but then the door swong open and they walked in. They sat our bags down inside the camper. They looked like they got into a fight.

What happend! I exclamed running up to Max, Willow followed me.

Max stared to talk, they had no problem giveing us the bags they just had a problem we showed up he said forseing a smile.

Awe my poor baby I said out loud not meaning to. I felt my face get hot.

Come on Ronnie lets get you cleaned up, Willow said grabbing her bag and walking out of the camper. We will see you tomarrow she told me before leaveing.

It's already dark outside so I told them good night, and put the dog on his lead outside for the night. I walked back in the camper shutting the door behind me. Max was in the bathroom washing himself up, so I decided to look in my bag to see if every thing was still there. They didn't get my hat I frowned a litter oh well I'll just keep Max's I then smiled when I saw my small sandwich bag full of white powder. I grabbed it and inhaled some of it smileing.

I heard max turn the sink off, so I quickly put the bag away I got up and walked in the bathroom, I could already feel it working.

You okay? I asked him.

I'm good he said.

I walked closer he looked better now he had a bruise on his face and hands, but the blood was gone and there where no open wounds so I guess it wasn't his blood that was all over his hands. I looked at him and grabbed his face pulling him into a gentle kiss. He reacted quick by pusheing me agents the bathroom wall, and wrapping his arms around my waist pushing himself onto me kissing me hard. I kissed back, and wrapped my arms around his kneck. We stayed like that for a while, till he let go and grabbed my hand pulling me into the bed room. I followed him egerly.
