As for family. Technically, Gems are not related. We are all pretty much made from HomeWorld, but not by reproductive issues. Now, we are able to take that technology and make gems out of other planet's resources. It is quite possible for reproduction, but it has never been reported in use. Plus your human. And humans and gems are 2 completely different things anyways.
