RECAP..
After the day-long Puja celebrations, everyone gathered in the Raj Mahal's courtyard, where Haseena had slowly begun feeling accepted and loved by Anubhav's family. During the gathering, Karishma asked Haseena about how she and Anubhav had first met..a question that left Haseena speechless, as even she didn't know when Anubhav's story with her had truly begun.
Later, Anubhav arrived and announced that he was taking Haseena back to his palace. Although the family tried convincing him to let her stay longer, he refused.. until Haseena herself quietly asked him to stay. Unable to refuse her, Anubhav agreed to remain at the Raj Mahal until the following morning. While Haseena happily spent time with his family, Anubhav secretly watched her from a distance, realizing just how possessive he had become of her attention.
That night, Anubhav waited for Haseena in their chamber, but she never arrived. Growing increasingly uneasy, he searched the entire palace, checking every place she could possibly be. When he found no trace of her, a terrifying thought crossed his mind 'had Haseena run away again?'
For the first time, the man who was always in control found himself losing it. The mere possibility of losing Haseena frightened him more than any enemy ever had. And as he desperately searched the Raj Mahal.
CONTINUED.....
Anubhav had searched every accessible part of the Raj Mahal by then. The corridors, the rooms, the courtyard, the gardens, the library, even the kitchen, every possible place where Haseena could have been was already checked. Yet there was still one area left.
The backside of the palace.
It was a dark, secluded part of the Raj Mahal, rarely visited and almost always untouched. Unlike the rest of the palace, which remained alive with movement even during the quieter hours, this section was enveloped in an unsettling stillness. Only those who had specific permission were allowed to enter, and even they visited the area only when absolutely necessary.
Anubhav frowned slightly at the thought.
Why would Haseena go there?
There was no reason for her to be in that part of the palace. She barely knew the Raj Mahal well enough to wander into its more restricted corners, and there was nothing there that could possibly have drawn her attention.
Still, he couldn't afford to leave even one possibility unchecked.
He made his way towards the back of the palace.
The moment he stepped into the area, the atmosphere changed. Darkness stretched across the deserted pathways, swallowing whatever little light reached the place. The usual sounds of the palace were nowhere to be heard. There was only silence and the steady echo of Anubhav's footsteps against the stone floor.
His phone remained in his hand. Every few moments, his eyes shifted towards the CCTV feeds of the palace's main gates. He went through them again, carefully checking every movement and every entry recorded since Haseena had last been seen.
No sign of her leaving that left only one possibility that Haseena was still somewhere inside the Raj Mahal.
Anubhav lowered his phone and continued forward.
He entered the narrow corridors of the back section, his sharp gaze moving from one corner to another. He checked every doorway, every shadowed passage, and every recessed alcove where someone could have been standing without being immediately noticed. His footsteps remained measured, but the growing tension in his expression betrayed the unease that was beginning to settle deeper within him.
