Cecelia felt herself sink to the bottom of the ocean, unable to move by how shocked she was.

Not that anything was bad. Her heart was beating, she was breathing normally, and she was perfectly unharmed. But that was just it.

She filled her lungs again with the cold seawater, gripping the sand on the ocean floor to steady herself. She shouldn't have been able to breath underwater. It was insane.

A swarm of fish swam by, their bright colors flourishing the dark water with a new light. And they were all riding on a manta ray. What the heck was that all about? Cecelia couldn't help but smile, despite her still state of shock. She suddenly heard tons of tiny voices in her head, which scared her half to death.

Move your fin! One of them said. Another one sounded excited. We're going to the drop-off! Mr. Ray, go faster!

Cecelia watched in fascination as she realized it was the fish. The fish were communicating, and she could understand it. She checked talking to fish off of her bucket list.

She listened as she watched them float by, trying to pinpoint which voices belonged to which fish. She spotted a small sea turtle, swimming alongside a clown fish. It's anemone, Nemo. The turtle said. The clown fish seemed to roll its eyes, which kind of looked creepy. Manemen--no. Anememan--dorsal fins! I can't do it, Squirt.

Cecelia blinked. She kind of wanted to ask for an autograph. If fish gave autographs. Was it in fin-print or something? It was freaking Nemo! But she held herself back. Her childhood dreams would have to wait.

The school of fish disappeared over a coral reef, and Cecelia struggled to stand on the ocean floor without landing first-face into a sea urchin. She figured she should see if her friends were okay. But before she could start to move towards the surface, she felt something stir the water behind her.

Cecelia didn't know how she felt it, but it made her nervous.

Suddenly, a new voice filled her head. It was humming. The Jaws theme song. Dun-dun. Dun-dun. Dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun. It came to an abrupt stop.

She turned around (as fast as she could in the water) and came face-to-face with a great white shark.

Hallo mate.

Cecelia nearly had a heart attack. She froze on the spot, not knowing if she should swim away or not. Then she realized it was the shark who had spoken.
