On top is Carter played by the infamous Sean O'Pry.
Carry on, my wayward son.
ASHLEY
I walked back into the house and walked up the stairs. I needed a change of clothes before going to meet Chase.
I took a quick shower before walking into the closet. I threw on black jeans and a white shirt with a black leather jacket.
I walked out of the closet and Zack was standing in front of the door with his arms crossed. "Where are you going?" He asked.
"To meet Chase at the mall. I needed to talk to him." I said but that was the wrong thing to say. His nostrils flared and his eyes turned black.
"WHAT?!" He growled. I sighed at him and looked at the floor. Here we go. "After everything that's happening, you really think I'm gonna let you leave the house?" He asked.
"Zack, I'll be fine. Chase isn't Carter. Hell, Chase doesn't even like Carter." I said, trying to walk past him but he pulled me into his chest.
"You're not going, Ashley. End of discussion." He growled. He put his nose in the crook of my neck and sparks almost made me forget about it. Almost.
"I'm not falling for that Zack. I'm going and you can't stop me." I said, getting out of his grip and walking towards the door.
He let out a frustrated growl and followed me out the door. "Why do you have to be so stubborn? I'm trying to protect you." He pleaded.
"Chase isn't going to hurt me, Zack. He's got me out of trouble a lot more times than you ever will." I said, walking into the garage.
He sighed. "Fine. On one condition." I turned and narrowed my eyes at him. "What?" I asked suspiciously.
"I'm coming with you." "No." I walked over to the key rack and grabbed the one to the Audi. He grabbed my wrist and spun me around. "Either I come with you or I lock you in the room. Your choice." He smiled.
Damn him. "Fine. But you're staying in the car." I said, the Audi beeping. "Unless he does something I don't like, then I'm kicking him all the way back to his pack."
I rolled my eyes and got into the drivers seat. I put it into gear and pulled out of the garage. "Oh and one more thing." I turned towards Zack.
"Try not to kill my best friend. I'll lose a lot of shit." I said and he raised an eyebrow. "Long story, including me, Chase, a twig, a cow, a bottle opener and twenty burgers."
Zack looked at me like I was crazy. "Believe me, if you knew the crazy shit I did, you'd wonder why I was your mate."
I felt sparks shoot up my thigh and saw Zack's hand, rubbing it. "I'll never ever think that." Midnight was practically a puddle.
We pulled into one corner of the mall's parking lot and I saw Chase leaning against his SUV. He knows me too well.
But that wasn't what caught my eye. It was the black super bike attached to the bumper that did. "Oh my god." I said, my jaw dropping. He brought Nyx.
I parked the car. "Stay in the car." I ordered. Zack crossed his arms and looked down. He looked like a pouty child.
I got out of the car and Chase smirked at me. "Little Lee finally got a mate, eh?" He said and I smiled. I gave him a one armed hug and pulled away.
