ASHLEY
I went and launched myself at all of them. "We're glad to see you too. Now let's get you out of here." Stephen said, pulling me out the door.
We walked out the door when Max asked, "Which way do we go?" We didn't have time to answer before someone roared behind us. "SMITH!" We turned around and saw a really pissed Carter standing at the other corner.
"Yeah, Let's not go that way." We turned to the right and booked it out of there, the Quads running pretty fast, they're arms waving in panic.
Carter was running behind us, growling. Sam and Hannah had reached the end of the hallway and we were still behind.
"They blocked both paths." Sam growled. My eyes were squinting because of the direct sunlight from the window. Wait,"The window!"
They boys didn't stop running. Stephen grabbed Sam while Steven grabbed Hannah and Mason smashed through the window and dropped down from the first floor to the front yard of the house.
Hannah released this high-pitched scream when Steven jumped with her that almost made me pass out. "Fuck Hannah. What was that?!" Max asked.
I was the last to have to jump. "Ashley, don't you fucking dare." Carter warned. I gave him a smirk. "Oh I fucking dare, alright." I jumped.
My instincts took over. I tucked my legs in and let my body absorb the impact. "Bloody hell!" I growled at the pieces of glass in my hand and legs.
"Steven, I broke a nail and a heel because of you!" Hannah growled. leave it to Hannah to keep her priorities straight.
"Well, that's gonna have to wait because I didn't not just jump out of a a building so that you could complain about you nails and shoes. Now run!"
I grabbed Hannah and started running towards the border, the others right behind me. "How do you know where to go?!"
"Because this is my old pack." I said, quietly and picked up the pace so they couldn't ask anymore questions.
We were close to my old house when we ran into Chase being escorted to the pack house by two wolves. We all froze in our places.
Chase made eye-contact with me and cracked such an evil smile, I was really glad I wasn't the two guard wolves.
He raised both his fists and back-handed them so hard, it looked like something out of a movie. The two wolves fell backwards.
I smiled. "Gonna stand there all day, Lee?" Chase asked. "Thanks." There were growls a little way off which meant that someone had picked up our trail.
"Wanna tag along? You're not exactly gonna win any prizes with them." I said, jerking my head towards the sound.
"Yeah." We started running again, but the others eyes Chase suspiciously. "Guys, Chase isn't working for Carter."
"Wait, This is Chase? Your best friends Chase?" Sam asked. Chase cracked a smile. "Nice to meet you. I'm also the Chase with a psychopathic Alpha for a brother."
I gave him look and he winked. We got to the border. "We're gonna have to run past the neutral territory to get back to the pack." Stephen said, stopping to catch his breath.
I looked at Chase. "Do you wanna come? Carter isn't exactly gonna be jumping with joy." He smiled sadly and shook his head.
"I can't leave my mom, Lee. I don't want to leave her. If I leave, they might take they're anger out on her." I nodded.
"Ashley, we have to leave." Tyler said, the growls getting closer. I gave Chase one last hug before he ran towards the sounds.
"Come on." I said, starting to run. "The quicker we get back the better." They followed behind me in silence.
--------------------------------
We decided to stop after running for about an hour. We were all sitting down, our backs against the trees.
"How did you guys find me? And more importantly, how did Seth and Hunter let you come?" Sam and Hannah exchanged looks and I sighed.
"They don't know, do they?" They smiled innocently. "Yeah, we were in the room when we heard the Quads sneaking out."
"We caught them and they told us they were gonna try and rescue you, so we sneaked out and were caught by the twins and they ended up joining."
I smiled. "Thanks, guys." I smiled at them. "Carter give you that?" Tyler asked, pointing to the bruise on my neck.
"More or less." "At least Zack has more reason to kill Carter." I perked up and Midnight whimpered in my head, the first sound she had made in days.
"How's Zack holding up?" I asked. "Horrible. He hasn't slept since you went missing. He snaps at everybody."
"Let's get back on track. I wanna get back." I had barely said that when we heard growls and howls which were pretty close.
"You can say that again." We got up and started running. We got a about a couple of meters before we were blocked.
"Run the other way!" We turned and ran towards the mall, which could be seen at a distance. "Fast-AHHHH!" Tyler disappeared.
We didn't stop running and the next thing I knew, I was tumbling down a slope. We reached the bottom and got up. We didn't have time to groan.
Tyler's face was bleeding and I had feeling mine was too. "I am never gonna complain that staying in the house is boring! Ever!" Sam yelled and We continued.
Carter's wolves weren't that far behind. We ran past the mall and started running towards the border of the pack's territory.
I could see the patrol in the distance. Midnight was howling with happiness. We're gonna be with Kaydon and Zack!
We reached the border and dived through the border. We all collapsed to the ground, breathing heavy. "Where were all of you? The Beta and The Third were looking fo-" The seemed to notice me for the first time.
They seemed shocked and I cracked a smile. "Mind calling our brother? Tell him we found his mate." Spencer said, giving me a wink.
The wolves ran off to call Zack. I put my head back on the ground, happy to be home. Just the feeling of being within the borders would satisfy me till Zack gets here.

Okay, that wasn't exactly what I envisioned but it was close enough.
I myself am getting irritated making you wait.
Mostly because a book I started reading last year has finally been updated and I have completely forgotten the whole goddamn story.
I'll see you next week
Peace out, mofos
