Have you ever had to sit and silently watch the doctors put your dog to sleep and then watch as they gave another injection to make his heart stop beating?
My dog was amazing. He was eleven. My brother was in tears as he signed the papers for the doctors to give the injection.
What's worse? My dog was crying. I had to take wet wipes and wipe away his tears. He had multiple organ failure.
His heart, instead of pumping blood, was taking back blood. He couldn't walk.
I had to sit there and watch as his eyes lost their light and became glassy. And silently just go. I know he's in better place but.
How can you just get over a dog you've had since you were three?
I hope none of this ever happens to you guys. Ever.
