I stared at Zack in shock. Does he really mean it? Midnight asked, for once at a loss for words. I waited for him to burst out laughing but he just stared at me.

"You what?" I whispered, looking for the slightest bit of doubt on his face but found none. He had meant every single word. And that's what scared me the most.

"You heard me. I love you." He said, smiling at the look of absolute shock on my face. I was literally in shock. My emotions were in a jumble.

"I-uh..um" I stuttered and started waving my hands around and acted like an idiot until Zack stopped me by crashing his lips on mine.

It worked. I felt him smile into the kiss and then pull away. "You don't have to say it now itself, sweetheart. I just needed to get it off my chest." He said and I sighed, the pressure subsiding.

"Thank you." I said, giving him a hug. "Now let's get back. I don't want to stand out here." He said, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the house.

We reaches the house and collapsed on the couch, watching Steven and Stephen playing video games. They were hopeless.

I don't know how but both of them managed to lose. I don't think that's even possible. I was controlling my urge to laugh when Jake walked in with a skateboard in hand.

"Who's board is this?" He asked, holding it up and Zack raised his hand. Jake raised and eyebrow, looking at me and I shook my head.

"Try as much as you want, Jake. You know you can never beat me. Its been my record for 5 years." I said.

"What record and since when do you know how to skate?" Stephen said as his and Steven's characters died after stabbing themselves.

"I have known since I was a kid. And the record is doing a hand stand on moving skateboard while drinking water. I've held the title for five years." I said proudly and Zack smacked his head.

"Why can't you be normal?" Zack sighed. "I did try once but then I got bored." I said and the twins chuckled.

"Would you prefer if I was one of the she-wolves who wear booty shorts and mini-skirts and crop tops and sleep with every walking thing that has a dick?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "In other words, Shana." Stephen said.

Zack raised his hands in defeat. "Okay, okay. I give up." He said, laughing and pulling me to him. "Should teach you not to try to get into an argument with my sister. She will take you down faster than the flash can run." Jake said, taking a seat on the opposite side.

I snuggled into Zack's arms as Jake told the twins about the crazy stuff I did since I was a kid. I heard Zack sigh every time I got to a part where I almost got killed and stiffen every time he mentioned Chase.

Slowly, the twins left for patrol and Jake wandered off. Me and Zack were just sitting there. He seemed oddly quiet.

"Zack, are you okay?" I asked, looking up at him. He looked down and smiled nervously. "Yeah." He had a very regretful look in his eyes.

I gave him a suspicious look and he looked away. He was hiding something from me. Bad mistake, buddy. Very Bad Mistake.
