Hayley's POV
I held Mikey's hands, supporting him as he stood up. Chad pulled a funny face at him as he stood at the other end of the room.
Mikey squeezed my fingers tight and put one foot in front of another.
"Great job," I said as I walked behind him.
He smiled and giggled at Chad as we got closer.
He let go of my fingers and balanced himself. He put one foot in front of the other, wobbling as he did so.
He made it half way to Chad before falling over. He looked back at me, holding his arms in the air.
I helped him up, "you got this buddy."
He let go of my fingers and toddled confidently over to Chad.
"Great job!" Chad exclaimed as he held Mikey in the air.
"Daaa daaa daaa," Mikey said as he kicked his legs.
"Mikeyyy," Chad said back to him.
I giggled and walked over to them.
"You're such a clever boy," I said, tickling his chest lightly.
He squealed and dove into my arms.
I kissed his head and bounced him in my arms.
"Can you say mama?" I asked.
"Mmmm."
"Mama," I encouraged.
"Maaaa."
"Maaaa," I finished with a chuckle.
"Maaa maaa," he said.
"Great job! Did you hear that Chad?"
"I sure did. Well done buddy," he said as he stroked his hair.
"Dada," Mikey said.
"Yeah?" Chad responded.
Mikey babbled.
"Really? Then what happened?" Chad asked, encouraging him to babble.
"Adada baba naaa."
"That sounds really cool."
"Dooo dooo."
Chad and I laughed.
Soon Alf came in the room. Mikey squealed and pointed at him.
"Alf," I said to him. "Can you say Alf?"
"Aaaaa."
"Alf," I repeated.
"Aaaaa-" he stopped and let out a cry of frustration.
"It's okay buddy," I said.
"Oof," Mikey said.
"Are you trying to say woof woof?"
"Oof oof," he said pointing to Alf.
"Great job buddy," I praised.
He laughed and clapped his hands.
"Want some animal crackers?" I asked him.
He babbled in response. I sat him infront of the tv and turned on Thomas and friends.
"Is that a choo choo buddy?" I asked.
He pointed at the animated trains and said, "oooo."
I walked out of the room for two seconds while I got him some animal crackers.
When I got back he was covered in butt paste, leaving the empty tub on the floor.
"Mikey what did you do!?"
