The weekend is finally here.
I'd planned to spend it relaxing.
But, we all know how that goes.

Claire invited me out to lunch and I agreed without a second thought.

Now, here we are.
Chatting and clamoring about.

"So, how long have you two been dating?"

"Huh?"

Claire's question throws me for a loop.

"Don't play coy with me. You and that hot business owner." She grins, waving her hand.

"..Eisuke?" His name rolls off my tongue in a slightly harsh tone.

"Aww. Don't be that way. You're lucky to have someone as hot as he is."

"Are you serious? Just because he's hot, doesn't mean a damn thing." I mutter.

"Anyway, how is he in bed?" She queries bluntly.

I choke.
Coughing and gagging on the spoonful of soup in which I attempted to swallow down.

"What the," I cough. "hell Claire?"

"Sorry." She sniggers. "I was just curious. They say sex with the person you love is 10 times better."

"That's besides the point.."

My cell chimes and without hesitation, I reach into my purse, grasping my phone quickly.

Unlocking the screen, a notification flashes in the corner, and my mood grows sour.

"What is it?"

"Nothing."

Silence follows.

Clicking the message, I skim through it swiftly.

Text Received:
Fr: Eisuke

'Where are you? I've been waiting for half an hour.'

What does he mean 'waiting half an hour'? Neither one of us said anything about me going over there today.

I huff unconsciously, tossing my phone into the bag.

"You okay?"

"Yeah. It was just Kellin." I lie.

"Oh. What does he want?"

"Nothing. He just had a few questions about his job application."

We continue eating and babbling.

Throughout our entire conversation, my phone vibrates profusely, and I take the liberty of switching it off at one point or another.

Claire and I stride side by side, drifting our way through the crowd.

"I like Ren, but he just isn't my type. Y'know? He has a nice face and a rocking bod. But, I need more."
