"Woo Hoo!"

"Ca-caw!"

The two best friends were soaring through the sky today, just as Pit had promissed. Sure, their occasional flights could only last around five minutes at a time, but Achilles and Pit had learned to accept that over the years. Pit always wished his filghts would last longer, but he wouldn't trade them for anything, no matter how short they were. They meant so much to him...

...the feeling of power carressing his wings...

...the animals that joined him as he flew through the sky...

...the symbol of his bond to his Goddess...

...everything. Pit loved everything about The Power of Flight.

Secretly, so did Viridi, to some extent.

"You havin' fun out there, Pit?"

"You bet, Mistress Viridi! Thanks again!"

"Hey, like I said, no problem. It's not like I needed you for something today. It's the least I could do to reward you for doing your duty yesterday."

"We're really grateful for this, still. Right Achilles?"

"Caw~!"

Viridi chuckled at the two of them. As much as Pit's constant sucking up to her could occasionally get on her nerves, she did admire his devotion. Phosphora had nothing on Pit there. Heck, Arlon had nothing on Pit there either. And anyone who knew Arlon knew that that was saying something.

The Goddess and Angel both felt The Power of Flight begin to wear off. Knowing what to do, Pit extended his arm towards Achilles. The crow glided towards his master, and perched himself upon the outstretched limb. Once they were in position, Viridi engulfed them in a beam of light. When the light dissappeared, all that was left was a puff of flower petals. Realizing the angel was gone, the other birds that had been flying with them dispersed.

Pit appeared in Viridi's temple, his pet on his shoulder. The crow seemed satisfied with the flight, as his wings were tucked snuggly against his body, as oppossed to slightly ajar as if anxious. Pit thanked his Goddess once again, then promptly went to look through the armory. He usually did that every other day, just to make sure any weapon he might need will be there in case of an emergency. At least, that was his excuse. Phosphora liked to think he just wanted to impress Mistress Viridi by making himself look busy. Either way, Pit could often be found there.

Viridi let out a sigh. Things had been rather quiet lately. Not that that was a bad thing, but the Goddess didn't want life to be too repetitive. She'd never admit it to her Commanders, especially Phosphora, but the Goddess of Nature was bored.

"Ugh." She groaned. A nearby Skreetle stopped to look at her, concern in its yellow eyes. Viridi smiled at the bug. Her personal chamber was open to all the Temple's denizens, though only her Forces of Nature really seemed to come by. There were usually at least two in her room at all times, and Viridi had no reason to complain about that. She gave the Skreetle a pat on the head. "I'm okay. Don't fret too much over me." The bug responded with the closest thing to a smile it could give, and went on it's way. Viridi was about to return to her pondering, when she suddenly heard it.

A quiet sound, distintly resembling bells, rang in her head.

Viridi recognized the sound, but that didn't mean she wasn't still surprised to hear it. It had been many years since she had heard that sound. It didn't really bring the best memories. Despite the duration of its lack of use, however, Viridi still remembered who it belonged to.

Palutena.

Viridi mentally reached out towards the sound, beconing it closer. The ringing began to get louder, until a voice broke through the golden sound. "Hello?" The voice asked. Viridi frowned slightly. "Yes, you have reached the Viridi's Temple hotline. How may we serve you?" She retorted sarcastically. Palutena sighed. "Your humor never fails to make me grin a little, Viridi. But your jokes are not what I contacted you for." Viridi rolled her eyes. "Well, in that case, what do you want?"
