Chapter 11

There was still that blinding yellow flash for a few more seconds. Link had to close his eyes until he sensed that Nefan had joined him and that the light was finally gone at last. He felt a breeze on his face - a breeze different from Faron Woods. And with that he opened his eyes, seeing a new scenery.

Before him was a temple, covered with white paint and decorated golden shapes; one of them being the Triforce itself. Gold swirls were pictured by the corners of the building, making it look rich and pretty. On the top of the temple was what seemed like a tower, holding a golden bell. There didn't seem much purpose for the bell however, because this temple was in the middle of nowhere. Literally.

You see, there was nothing to look at besides the temple and light, green grass. Clouds, or just fog, blocked out everything else and looked as if it led to nowhere in particular. It surrounded the whole area but mystically stopped around the temple so you could see it clearly. It felt as though Link was in a completely different world altogether.

Just by Nefan staying visible, it was obvious that this place was safe. Yet, Link couldn't help but feel like the place was spooky and eerie. It just had that atmosphere around it - the one which makes him paranoid. He swear he could hear whispers from the fog calling him, beckoning him to come closer. He thought he was going crazy, yes, but it all just seemed too real.

Nefan started walking ahead - not floating this time. He had stopped however, when he realized that Link was not following him and he laughed.

He said, "Yeah, this place is actually pretty breath-taking isn't it?"

"I suppose you could say that.." replied Link, joining Nefan's side. His voice had an uncertainty about it but his demon friend never picked up on it, and he was glad.

They had walked up to the entrance of the temple - a big door made of gold, with white Triforces painted on it. The more Link looked at the temple, the more details he could make out. He had noticed that so much work had been put into the building, which made him wonder who made it in the first place. He was going to ask, but Nefan had already eagerly opened the door and he would probably wouldn't have known himself.

The first room inside was small, rectangular and simple. It had vases in each corner of the room and a table by the side. That was it. But the next room was much bigger and better. Beautiful glass stained windows let light in, and it appeared as rainbow coloured rays. The two boys had to both walk up fifteen or sixteen steps to see more things, like a massive gold chandelier covered in jewels - much like the one in Hyrule Castle but even more grand. The stained glass showed pictures of well known legends with a specific hero in green. The ground was a shiny marble, polished nicely. The wall was a natural white stone wall, which suited the room perfectly. Again there was vases.

Link was almost too taken away by the amazing scenery that he didn't notice a figure before them, standing behind a pedestal.

"It's about time you return!" They snapped. "The Lady was starting to get impatient."

"Yeah, sorry about that, Impan." said Nefan. "Link wanted to see his house one last time before coming here."

Impan was a strong looking female, tall and thin. She had a long blonde braid which slung behind her back and she was somehow tanned. Her eyes were a creepy pinkish red, and had orange dots painted around her eyelid as well as a tear painted underneath her eye in the same colour. When they were closed, it formed an unusual looking eye, and Link noticed where it was from - the Sheikiah tribe. This, right away, was weird because it was said that the certain tribe turned extinct more than years ago, but here she was, standing proudly and looking down her nose at Nefan's response.
