Tabitha and Chris exited the pub. They sat on the curb and watched their breath crystallize. Chris pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. He handed her one and she took it. He then pulled as lighter out and lit it for her. 'Thanks. I haven't smoked in ages. Being in Canada in all.' Chris nodded. Smoking is bad for you.
'What is it like in Canada?' Tabitha loved his thick British accent. The accent she missed so much.
'Well at the moment it is winter and freezing.' Chris inhaled deeply and then made shapes with the smoke as he exhaled it.
'Got anyone special over there?' Tabitha turned to him. Bit of a weird question considoring you've just met.
'No not really. There was this one guy but he was a total dick to me.' Chris then put his head to Tabitha's shoulder. She grinned.
'Do you think I could go to Canada with you?' Tabitha inhaled some smoke and thought for a moment.
'My dad is trying to keep me here but I want to go back, I have a life there. I could take you if you wanted.' Chris lifted his head up and nodded. Then he did something unexpected. He pressed his lips against hers and she kissed back. It was a passionate kiss. Tabitha pulled him close and he wrapped his arms around her.
Chris kicked the door open to his apartment. It wasn't far from the pub. Tabitha thought that he would have taken that as a advantage.
His arms wrapped around Tabitha. They stumbled in. He kissed her again. She smiled. He then sat her onto the sofa. She watched him pull off his shirt and expose his rippling muscles. She bit her lip. Oh god...
He climbed on top of her. He pulled her top off. She kissed him and pulled him close. Chris undressed himself quickly and so did Tabitha. She could smell, drugs and alcohol but she didn't care there was a handsome lad on top of her.
Tabitha rolled over. She had been having a dream about Charlie. It annoyed her. She didn't want to dream about him, him and his perfect looks. The way he made her swoon. Tabitha looked down and found herself naked. Chris was still laid next to her. She sighed and rubbed her head, the hangover was taking over her body.
Chris woke and rolled over to look at her. 'You have one too?' Tabitha nodded and put her head back down to the pillow.
'Its killing me.' Chris hummed and climbed out of bed. Tabitha sat up. 'Can I have a cup of tea?' She used her sweetest voice. Chris stared down at her. He nodded and then walked to the kitchen. Tabitha dressed and then followed.
His house was small. She looked around, there were parts of the wallpaper that were ripped. It wasn't really bad but it wasn't the best ever. Tabitha walked into the kitchen and took a seat at the table. 'Do you want to go today then?' Tabitha asked Chris. He turned around and shrugged.
'Do you want to?' Chris didn't sound bothered at all. Tabitha looked up at him from the table.
'Well is there anything you need to do or anyone you need to talk to?' Tabitha was pushing for an answer. She missed Lily, Lou and George but most of all she missed Charlie. She wanted to mentally slap herself for thinking of him.
'Nope.' Chris turned back to the cupboard and Tabitha could hear the spoon hitting the side of the cup. The kettle clicked off and Chris poured the drinks.
'Well can we go then?' Tabitha wanted a straight answer. Chris spun around and didn't give any expression. He placed a cup on the table in front of her and then sat himself.
'Ok.'
The airport was busy. It had taken three hours to get the tickets and then go through security. They had finally gotten to the gate when the plane was boarding. They handed over their tickets and walked onto the plane.
The stewardess greeted them with a smile, a fake smile. She pointed to their seats. Tabitha shuffled over to the window seat and Chris took the seat next to her. It was a little weird that she was bringing a random lad to Canada with her, she had just met him as well.
Tabitha wiggled around until she was comfy. Then she looked at Chris who was fiddling with the manuals in the bag pocket of the chair. 'Chris, why do you want to come with me?' Chris put the manual back into the pocket and then tapped his fingers on his leg.
'I don't know.' Tabitha thought about how he had just spent loads of money to go to Canada with a girl he had met the night before.
'Don't you have family over here?' Chris didn't move. He didn't make a sound. Touchy. 'Why did you choose me at that bar?' Tabitha was expecting an answer. She knew that when she asked about family she had said something wrong.
'You're pretty and you looked sad.' Chris was acting like a child. He was making no eye contact with Tabitha. Tabitha put her hand on his. When she arrived home Smith would surely kick her out. Maybe she could move somewhere with Chris. Maybe just maybe everything would be okay.
