Lot's has happened, so there's lot's to go over. And there's nothing better to end an arc than with a little night-time meeting!

Apologies if things seem a bit rushed, as well. I had a little over a week to get this one done (as opposed to my usual two weeks), and wanted to make sure everything was covered from (Y/n)'s various troubles... But I think it worked out pretty well, all things considered!!

(Still, as a note to both myself and anyone interested, when you put your character through trauma and/or make them face various dilemmas within one arc (or multiple that branch together), make sure it's not too much that they have to come to terms with once all is said and done. I'm taking it as a hard lesson, and it's probably my karma for all the angst LOL)

Regardless, it's an important learning curve I figured I'd share for those interested!

Sh...

Shr...

Shrrk...

The sound is strange... Splitting. She can't quite place it.

Blackened fog parts from her vision. Rainbow bandaids. Little hands.

They're raised in front of her face – crying – covered in blood.

"Here," Familiar, she speaks. "Like this, or else you'll cut yourself."

But the advice couldn't help this time... The bandages, neither. She hunches, lost in the pitch once more. Agony rips through her torso–

Shrrrkk...

A bright flash – A halo in the night. It's green, and yellow, breathing and buzzing with life.

She staggers forwards, blurry figures closer. Clearer.

"I do have a soulmate! Look– See?! It's right here, on my arm!"

Who's that? She knows him...

"There's no way you can become King of the Pirates if you have a soulmate!"

Another boy laughs loudly, happy freckles peppering his cheeks. They're red from the sun... Cherry streaks in crow-feather hair.

A woman, emerald hair browning in the sun's last rays. "Why not? If you ask me, that just means she'll get to be queen of the pirates."

Something aches, again. It shears, and tears, belligerent.

The scene is gone. The sky is dark.

The world whips by, hail, or wind, or rain... A constant rush, a whoosh...

Where is she now?

One step splashes to lap at her ankles. The surface of the ocean clears a path amidst its riling waves. She's walking upon it like a road – amongst the stars as they reflect in her path.

"Here, Luffy– You should always hold a girl like this!"

Bubbling laughter, and the image of a new boy; blond, holding the black-haired in his arms as if he were a bride.

"Put me down, dumbass!"

High on the wind, a wailing calls forward.

She turns to it. There's a baby in the water.
