This will be my first attempt at actually WRITING something, so wish me luck :) BTW this takes place after The winter soldier and Amazing Spider-Man 2 but before AoU.
________________________*Flashback*
Last monthI was swinging around New York, patrolling the city, when I spotted Nick Fury waiting for me on the streets below. "What's up Nick? I can call you Nick, right?"
He just glared at me. "Come one kid, we need to talk." He said, walking away. Well that can't be good... I thought. I followed Nick all the way to the helicarrier. When we boarded, he led me to a conference room where we talked.
"Peter, I'm here to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative." I froze.
"The Avengers? I don't know Nick, I still have school and my aunt." I wanted to join but what would I tell Aunt May?
Nick laughed, "Don't worry, you would stay on the same schedule and your aunt seems to already know."
I yelped, "How does she know?"
"Well you weren't exactly keeping your secret well. What's your explanation for coming home in scratches and bruises after a fight?" Nick asked.
"I usually tell her I fell off my skateboard or something, but see your point. When do I start?" Spider Sense is tingling. I jumped on the ceiling right as Tony Stark burst through the door.
"I heard there's a new recruit. Where are they?" He seemed awfully excited.
Nick pointed at me, "He's up there. Nice reflexes kid."
"Thanks." I said, jumping down from the ceiling.
Tony looked at me. "No way. The new addition is Spider-Man, cool. When does he start?"
"Right now. Take him to meet the rest of the team, and don't break him." Nick looked dead serious, but then again that's how he always looked.
"Can do, Director. Come on, kid." Tony ushered me out of the room. He took his Iron Man suit to Avengers Tower while I swung on my webs. It was surprisingly easy to keep up with him and we were there in no time.
"Hey guys meet the new recruit. This is Spider-Man." Tony shoved me right into Captain America.
"Sorry Cap. " I said, embarrassed.
"No problem, and please, call me Steve. I don't mean to be rude but will you be telling us your identity?" Steve seemed intrigued, and so did everyone else.
"No, I can't tell you. I have way too much to lose." I wasn't going to give in that easily.
"Oh come on. I've always wondered who was under that mask." Hawkeye whined.
"Well too bad," I mocked him. "I have family and friends that I need to protect. Besides, I'm trying to beat the record for longest kept secret identity from fewest amount of people. I think I'm winning."
Black Widow appeared out of the shadows. "We understand completely, right guys?" She was giving them the death stare until everyone had agreed with her. I think she and I will be the best of friends. I chuckled.
*whisper whisper whisper*
I jumped. "Do you guys here that?" I was worried. Everyone looked at me strangely.
Bruce spoke up, "I don't hear anything." Oh no. He's back. I hadn't had to deal with this guy in years. I thought I had finally pushed him down deep enough, but I guess I was wrong.
"Nothing, never mind." I assured them.
"Welcome to the team, spidey. We should watch that new movie, (insert favorite movie)." Barton suggested. I had never seen it but it turns out it's really good. So far everything's been ok but I knew it's only a matter of time before he came out.

Present day
Peter's POV
School starts tomorrow and the team is throwing me a party. It's supposed to be a surprise but I have super hearing. I haven't forgotten about him. I've been wondering whether or not to tell the team about him but they might kick me off. I should wait a while to see if I they trust me, and vice versa. The party starts soon I should probably get ready.
Tony's POV
"Hey Steve, do you think spidey's acting strange? He's hearing voices and won't tell us his identity. Everyone knows who I am and I'm alright. Sure Pepper's been in danger but that doesn't mean it was a bad idea. And he would only be revealing his identity to us."
"Well it's up to him to decide whether or not to tell us his secret identity, and about the voices, we should talk to him about that." Steve sounded worried. I would too but I think he can take care of himself . Speak of the devil. He came down in a dress shirt and vest, but he was wearing his mask. He looked nice, but not too fancy. We all started to talk about back stories, Bruce, Steve and I didn't go because everyone knew ours. Natasha's was sad and Clint's was both full of action and heartache. But Spider-Man's... His was.... I can't even describe it. I mean he was bitten by a radioactive spider and then his uncle was killed. After he was done, everyone was silent. I wasn't expecting that...
Peter's POV
They're pitying me aren't they? I can see it in their eyes. Ugh. I hate pity. "I've gotten over it since then, though, so I don't need your pity," Suddenly, I doubled over in pain. Although this time he wasn't strong enough. He could only speak through me. Not that that's much better. More pain.
Steve's POV
Spider-Man is writhing on the ground in pain. "What's happening?" Tony panicked. "Jarvis what's wrong?"
"My sensors indicate nothing other than high levels of pain."
"That helps a lot," Clint muttered. All of the sudden he stopped moving and stood up. When he spoke, we all knew it wasn't him.
"Hello there, avengers." His voice was slimy and slick. It gave me the chills. "I am Venom. I've lived in this boy for years, regaining my strength. I will be ready soon. Just thought I'd make an appearance while you were all here. Farewell, for now." Then, he collapsed.
