' no wait ' I said to her. ' what are you doing in here alone in the dark ' I asked with a laugh
' oh just ... ' I looked at her thinking ' I was looking for Luce but I lost her so I came in here and my foot felt so I sat and but now I'm just thinking ' she blurted out with a sigh.
' are you drunk ? ' I asked. I don't know why I asked it's clear.
You know when you can see by looking at someone's eyes? Yeh.
' I'm not gonna say no I'm gonna say, I'm friendly with the alcohol ' she laughed.
She had a beautiful smile... Wow.
' but you have a stain on your shirt ' she said standing with a wobble and walking towards me.
' I know some idiot downstairs spilt drink all over me ' I explained. Not that it mattered. But when I said she sort of became more alert about the weird situation that we where in.
' take it off ' she said suddenly after examining it
' what ? ' I asked again laughing
' take it off and put like soapy stuff on it then wash it, it'll fix ' she smiled at me.
' thank you, I'll do that ' and then she went back and sat on the bed the same was she was before.
She looked like she was in a gaze on the floor so I turned around and quickly changed shirts.
' so, Lilly ' I said finishing buttoning up my last few buttons on my shirt. ' why are you still sat here ? ' I asked her
' it's easier drinking when you're alone ' she said simply and then pulled out a bottle of vodka from down the side of my bed.
' I guess you're planning on staying here and drinking for a while ' I said standing back up
' that's the plan ' she said looking at her empty glass.
' then I'll drink with you, you can't drink alone at a party ' I said and then ran out of the room down the stairs and into the kitchen to pick up 2 more bottles of alcohol.
I got back up stairs with the bottles and a glass and we sat and poured drinks and spoke for hours.
' so why do you think it's easier drinking alone ? ' she asked me.
Which I thought was weird because she was the one drinking alone.
' what makes you ask ' I replied to her with a question
' because you just volunteered to come and sit up here and drink cheep vodka with me, so I just guessed, you left the party for a reason ' she shot out this paragraph at me.
' I guess I don't like other people drinking alone, so if it came down to me drinking alone, I'd want someone else there with me. So if you ever find me drinking alone there's something totally wrong help me ' I laughed and she laughed with me and we poured another drink and carried on drinking.

----------------------------------------

2 bottles later we where on our last bottle, and I am absolutely... I can't think straight everything's wonky I can't even speak properly, I'm lucky my minds intact.
' I'm glad I can't tonight ' I heard Lilly say from beside me
' whys that ' I asked her
' well I met you and your brothers, you sound cool and act it, your friends with a lot of my old friends so I doubt were a lot different, and I enjoyed everything we talked about tonight. ' she said and moved her head so she was looking at me.
' hey ' I said sitting back up ' question for you ' I said to her and she sat up and made a face as to tell me to carry on asking her.
' well you said that you haven't been around recently, and your friends are now your old friends, can I ask where you have been ? Vacation ? Or do you not wanna ? ' I asked her
She sat there for a while and looked at the bottle of vodka in-between us and then looked back at me.
' right, I'll tell you ... ' she began ' but I don't want no sympathy I'm sick of it ... And I want more vodka ' she said picking up the last bottle and just drinking it straight...
I don't know how she can, it would make me sick.

' about 5 month ago something bad happened in my family and it kind of made me not me ' she began ' my mum and my sister where going to pick my dad up from the airport because he was coming home from visiting his mum and dad, and on the way they where on the motorway these stupid boys ran out across it, we don't know why, they didn't stop just just kept going across till they where on the other side and never looked back at what they'd caused. There was a lorry a little in front my mums car and because of the boys it had to break... To you know not kill them. And it swerved and basically caused a little explosion and that made more cars swerve and the car that went straight under the lorry was my mums car. ' she stopped.
I honestly had no idea this could even happen to such a kind girl. I seen about it on the news, it wasn't a big explosion it was a massive explosion. As I opened my mouth to begin speaking again she started so I stayed quite again.
' 5 people died then, one was only a little girl she was like 7... Me and my dad where in the hospital waiting room her her mum and dad. And I ... Anyway... They didn't make it... My mum and my sister... So now it's just me and my dad... Mainly me. ' she failed away from the conversation.
' I'm so sorry ' I said
' I don't .. I'm sorry I don't wanna hear it ' she said looking at me and smiling a little but tears filled her eyes slightly. 'You're like the only person I've told ' she nervously laughed ' everyone else just already knew, it feels different actually saying it '
I didn't know what to do, she downed whatever was left of the vodka, nothing left and she put the bottle on the floor with the others and I just pulled her into a hug.
I feel like hugs help better than words sometimes.

This is one of them times.
