They waited on Pirate Island for Peter Pan to return with pixie dust. They had already explored their old home and were now waiting on the beach. Izzy had found a special box filled with treasures that she had saved. One item was a swirly seashell on a chain that the mermaids had given to her. Another item was a magical bouquet of forget-me-nots that would never die thanks to fairy magic. The last item was a jeweled comb that the Pirate Princess had given her. She smiled at the gift from her idol and started to gently comb out her hair. Ever since the mainland years, Izzy's hair was left down with her pink bandana still wrapped around her head. She learned to like it this way for she thought the pigtails were now boring and regular.

Jake, who was pacing along the beach, looked to Cubby who was cracking open coconuts, Skully who was looking out for Peter, then to Izzy. He started to smile at her and thought to himself, she is so beautiful, then he shook his head in disgust, nononononono, he said to himself, I made a promise to Peter that I would not grow up, and liking someone...is growing up, he looked to Izzy again and watched her comb her long hair.

Gosh, he thought rustling his hair, this might be harder then it seems.

"Ahoy mates!" Skully squawked from his perch, "Peter Pan at 12 o'clock!"

Everyone looked for the boy who would never grow up. A sudden green figure headed straight for Pirate Island.

"Wow!" Peter said, landing on the pale sand, "You guys used to look like ants when I was in the air, now you look more like beetles" he said, joking about their size.

"Alright, alright Peter," Jake said annoyed, "Do you have the dust?"

Peter held out his hand to reveal a pouch made of large leaves. It glowed from the inside.

"Here you go!" Peter said proudly. Izzy beamed and ran up to Peter, giving him a big hug. Jake looked down trying to control his feelings. He clenched his teeth and shut his eyes tight. He thought about adventure and reigned in his mind. Izzy took the bundle from Peter's hand and poured it into her little golden pouch that Peter told the fairies to give to her years ago.

"Let's fly now, Izzy! Pleeeeeeease?" Cubby begged. Even though he was fifteen years old, Cubby still managed to keep his youthful spirit.

Izzy laughed, "Okay okay. Don't freak out!"

Izzy took a handful of pixie dust and sprinkled everyone with it. Izzy and Cubby shut their eyes for a moment and began to rise up into the air. They called to Jake, "C'mon Jake! What are you waiting for?"

Jake was the one who had grown up mentally the most out of all of them. On the mainland, he had tried his hardest to protect his crew, figure out how things worked, and earned the money for all of them to live.

Jake shut his eyes, but didn't fly.

"What's going on?" he asked Peter, "Why can't I fly?"

Peter rubbed his chin and looked at Jake, "I don't know. Are you thinking happy thoughts?"

Jake tried to switch his mindset into a happier place. He tried flying again. This time he flew a little bit, but ended up crashing onto the beach again.

"I don't get it" Peter said. Jake stood up, frustrated. "Do you have faith and trust?"

That hit it. Jake had the faith, but not the trust. He had lost most of his trust when they were on the mainland. On the mainland, it was hard to trust anyone. But he was on Neverland now. Neverland wasn't the mainland. It was different and special. He closed his eyes and finally began to fly into the air.
