Yo Ho, Let's Go!

Chapter 23

One by one, Jake, Peter, and the lost boys snuck to the side of the ship. Jake had hardly enough time to feel guilty since Izzy was taken away, but being at the side of Hook's ship again brought back painful memories.

"It's all my fault." Jake said solemnly. Peter turned to him, "What do you mean it's your fault? That Izzy's here? Don't worry Jake! I think she will just be grateful to get off this ship."

"But what if we don't get her off this ship? What if everything goes wrong?"

Peter smiled, "We'll just have to take that chance! For Izzy?"

Jake nodded, "For Izzy!"

The boys waited for a moment while courage was gathered. Peter looked around at Jake and the other boys and nodded as if to say, Here we go.

Peter shot into the air and crowed his rooster call. At that same time, the lost boys boarded the ship and started yelping and screaming, swinging their weapons around and around. Captain Hook looked every which way in confusion. Pirates were grabbing weapons to defend themselves. Hook looked like he was searching for someone in particular. Peter saw that look and at once, charged at Hook. The captain looked up soon enough to draw his sword, ready to fight. As Peter Pan and Captain Hook battled, Jake snuck aboard. As quickly and quietly as he could, Jake made his way to the stairs leading below deck. No one saw him, thank goodness, and he headed towards the second door to the left.
