Jake unsheathed his dagger and threw it to Peter.
"Untie and defend yourself," Peter looked at him with doubt.
"Hey, I know you can do it." Jake said roughly. Then he smiled and said, "I've seen you do it before. Show them Peter Pan." Jake challenged and ran toward Izzy.
The pirate holding Izzy's chains looked around the ship as if looking for someone. Izzy was watching Jake. As soon as the pirate caught sight of Jake, he held the weight over the side of the boat threating to let it go. Jake stopped dead in his tracks.
"One more step and your friend is fish food!" the pirate said. Suddenly, a rock came out of nowhere and hit the pirate in the head, killing him. This also meant, he let go of the chain.
Izzy rocketed toward the ocean, "JAKE! HELP!"
Jake raced to the side of the boat, only to start smiling. There was no splash for Izzy had not hit the water. Cubby rose from the side of the boat carrying Izzy.
Once on deck, Cubby was engulfed in a huge hug from Izzy, "Thank you Cubby! You're truly amazing!"
"I heard about the fight from a fairy and decided to come help...it looks like I came just in time!" Cubby stated proudly with his hands on his hips, standing heroicly.
Jake smiled at his friend. Cubby looked exactly like Peter Pan.
Peter!
How was he holding up?
"I hate to break up this reunion, but there is still a fight on this ship."
"Jake look out!" came a scream from the lower deck.
Jake turned to see a sword flying straight at him.
