Ahsoka smiled as Kanan and Ezra came out of the Ghost. Kanan had his hand on Ezra's shoulder, and the sight was the reason for the smile. When she had first met the Master and Padawan, she had noticed that while they had a bond, it wasn't very strong. Now though, they were unbreakable.
"Ezra, Kanan," Ahsoka said pleasently. "It's good to see you again. Hera said the mission on Dantooine went well?"
Kanan nodded. "We found a spot perfect for the rebel base, thanks to Rex's list."
Ahsoka was glad that Kanan and Captain Rex were finally getting along. And by finally, she meant FINALLY. It had taken almost a year for the two to be alright with each other. It wasn't Rex, he was fine with Kanan. In fact, he rather liked the Jedi. But Kanan... After Order 66, he was wary around everybody new. But clones? That killed him. At least now though, Kanan wouldn't face Rex with an icy stare everytime the two crossed paths.
"Perfect," Ahsoka said. "Having a base on a ship is too vulnerable. We'll start moving there as soon as possible. Any Imperial presence there?"
Kanan shook his head. "None. It's a backwater world, with nothing to offer the Empire. It's barely livable."
"Good work," she nodded at him. She turned to the rest of the crew. "Get some sleep, play some sabacc, whatever you want. Feel free to explore the ship, if you like. Relax. Especially you, Kanan," Ahsoka nodded at the Jedi.
"Yes sir," Kanan smiled, saluting jokingly. He and Ahsoka had become close friends over the past year, as Ahsoka was only a few years older than him. He, Ahsoka, and Hera made up the leaders of the Lothal rebel cell.
"Now, if you'll excuse me," Ahsoka continued. "I have a meeting with Commander Sato."
She left then to her meeting. The Commander had said that he had something important to discuss with her. She wondered what. Usually, the Commander was very stern mannered. But when he had told her about the meeting, he had seemed almost.... Panicked.
The day Commander Sato worries, the galaxy is in trouble.
