 >Lauren's POV<

"Lauren! Lauren! Wake up!" Emily shouted as her normal hyper self, like she used to when we still lived together.

I let her sleep in my apartment tonight, there is enough space, I even had a room left. But Emily insisted on sleeping with me so I moved two mattresses to the living room.

"Thanks for waking me up Emmi." I said in a sarcastic voice.

"You would be sleeping until noon if I didn't." She replied. "You need to get up, now! We need to look for the girls, I mean, you need. I want to be a special surprise guest." She giggled.

"Emily, it's not going to be as easy as you think. I haven't spoken to the girls since you left."

I saw Emily's happy face turning to a guilty, sad face. "No, Emmi. It's not your fault. It's just..the family broke apart and I haven't seen them ever since. It might be a bit awkward."

"I am sure you will do great, Laur. Look, I have already looked up some numbers that could be Christina's. She lives in Sacramento, doesn't she? That is what you said right?"

I nodded.

"I think the smartest is to do Christina at last. She was the one who left first, I think she felt very guilty."

"Why?" Emily asked.

"Because she was responsible for all of us the night you left."

"I guess I caused a lot of trouble." She sighed.

I put my arm around her. "It's not your fault, Emmi." I said again. "Let's eat first, I suppose you haven't yet?" She shook her head.

I made scrambled eggs with bacon and she made two fruit smoothies. I found a half-eaten cherry pie in the refrigerator and decided to put it on the table too. What a delicious breakfast. After our breakfast we put everything in the dishwasher and went to the livingroom.

"Shall we start with Dani?" I suggested. "I still have contact with her, so that shouldn't be too hard. She really misses you,  Emmi. She talks about you all the time."

I dialed Dani's number. She always has her phone with her, it won't take long. And I was right, Dani picked up her phone almost immediately.

"Dani, speaking."

"Hi, Dan."

"Hey, Laur! How are you doing? How is your new album?"

"We are not finished yet, but I will send you some samples. I actually wanted to ask you if you want to come to my place.."

"Today? I am sorry Laur, I am really busy."

"No not today." I said kind of irritated, she never lets me finsih my sentences. "At friday, around five, in the afternoon."

"Sure, why? I thought you were really busy?"

"Yes but, this is important. It's a surprise."

"Really? Something to reward my amazingness?" Emily giggled, I gestured her to be quiet. "Who was that?" Dani asked.

"Oh, no one. Dani, listen. You need to come, this will be the best surprise you will ever get!"

"The best? Of course, I'll come."

"Can you inform Amy for me? She needs to come too!"

"Oh, it's going to be a girls night? Like a sleepover? Yes, we will come. See you then!"

"Thank you Dan! Bye!"

"That wasn't that hard, was it? Two girls in one call! Only three more to go!" Emily said, she was really excited.

>Emily's POV<

It was weird to hear Dani's voice again. It sounded so mature, something you wouldn't expect for her. I can't imagine she used to be my best friend, we always played together with our younger brothers. I felt really guilty that I left her behind, I should have waken my sisters up when it happened. Thanks to me the whole family broke apart. There is nothing I can do to make up but get them together again.

"Okay, Lisa now?" I said. Lauren seemed to notice the hurry in my voice.

"Calm down, Emmi. I want to do Katherine first, I think Lisa is going to be really hard too."

"Have you had any contact with Katherine, Lauren?" Lauren looked a bit sad.

"No, I haven't. I really miss her, though. I have read her books, they are mostly about you, not directly mentioned."

"About me?" I asked surprised. "I never thought you would all miss me." Lauren started to cry.

"No? Emily, you are our sister! Of course we missed you! Why do you think I lost contact with the others?" Lauren shouted. "Katherine wrote books about her heart who was not complete, even when she has a boyfriend. I dedicated albums to you, we all missed you!"

We were silent for a minute. Lauren starred out of the window.

"I am sorry. Shall we continue?" I suggested.

Lauren dialed Katherine's number, looking nervous. I was praying Katherine didn't change her number over these years.

"Hallo?" I could hear a woman's voice through the phone, I didn't recognize it at first.

"Kath? It's me, Lauren."

I heard sobbing.

"Kath?"

"Laur? Is that really you?" Katherine started to cry louder. "I am so sorry. I am so sorry that I didn't call you."

"I could have called too  Kath, I am sorry too."

"You were the only one with Amy and Dani who wanted to stay together. I am sorry I left you. What was I thinking as your big sister? I should have taken care of you!"

"Kath, it's okay. Do you want to come to my house on friday afternoon? As a sort of reunion? Then we can talk longer."

"Just the two of us?"

"Well, not exactly. Amy and Dani will be there too, and I am hoping Christina and Lisa will be able to join."

"Yeah, good luck Lauren. I don't think they want to see us anymore. I am not sure if I want to face the other ones, I haven't had contact with any of them."

"Please Kath! I have a big surprise for you! The biggest you will ever get!"

"I am not in the mood."

"Get yourself together than! You are coming Kath! You don't want to break my heart now it has just healed, do you?"

"Do you have a boyfriend? If that is the biggest surprise in my life, I think I'd rather stay home, Laur."

"I don't have a boyfriend! Just come and you will find out what happened! Please?"

"Okay." Katherine sighed.

Lauren put her phone on the table. She sighed too. I thought about the four sisters I got together already. It felt so weird, I haven't seen them for ages! I couldn't even imagine how I ever talked with them. They felt as complete strangers right now. I hope that will change.

"Next one?" I asked her.

We spent the rest of the morning looking for a Lisa Cimorelli, she didn't answer the number Lauren had and we couldn't find another one.

"I know she is alive." Lauren said. "I have seen her once at one of my concerts. I almost cried during my performance, but when I looked again, she'd disappeared. Like she was hiding for me."

We didn't find any number or address so we tweeted, facebooked and emailed to all her addresses Lauren still had.

"Now comes the hardest one." Lauren looked scared. "Let's call Christina, hopefully she will pick up."

For the last time Lauren dialled one of the numbers she didn't dare to call for ten years. Hopefully Christina would want to talk.

"Hello?" We heard a child voice say. "Hello, who is there?"

"Eh," Lauren looked confused at me, she obviously didn't know what to say. "I am looking for Christina."
