A/N Ok so this chapter is mainly going to be speaking, like on the phone or in person. Bare with me okay. I don't always state who said what but it should be easy enough to follow. If not, ask me about it and I will happily clear things up:-)
"How did you know we are going on tour? we haven't even announced it yet?"
"I read it on your phone...it was there when Calum text you"
He sighed and walked towards the bench on the porch. He sat down and places his head in his hands.
"It's fine Luke, you don't need to be angry or upset or whatever"
"Yes I do Sar...I like you a lot and now you're not even going to give us a chance because of this stupid fucking tour"
I walked over to him and say next to him, but the god damn idiot just got up and walked to his car. He didn't even say good bye or anything, he just left me.
What the hell right?
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and sent him a text message.
'To Luke:
You didn't even give me a chance to explain. I like you Luke, a lot. But clearly your temper is clouding your judgement at the moment'
I wasn't expecting a reply, partly because he was driving but also because he was moody af. But I wanted one...I wanted Luke to know that I liked him so that maybe we could try 'us'.
Hours later and there was still no reply. I tried calling him and messaging him again but there was still nothing. He hadn't even read my message so that was slightly confusing. that boy was always on his phone so there was no reason to not see them.
I decided to take my mind off of things and run myself a bath, play myself some relaxing music you know...the usual. As I was about to jump in the bath my phone buzzed
Thank god, he finally replied.
Unfortunately it was an Instagram notification...a message.
from Calum
calumhood: Tell Luke to come home now, we have some things to go over
me: Luke left like four hours ago? he should be back by now??
calumhood: are you serious? he hasn't even answered his phone or anything
me: he hasn't answered me either, he got really angry and just left...
calumhood: fuck, how quick can you get over here? the doors open, just get here now.
what the hell was that about?
Luke I hope this is some sort of joke.I quickly got my clothes back on and left my bath. I grabbed my car keys and headed towards the address Calum had sent me. It was about twenty minutes away so I didn't really feel the need to rush a lot as it wasn't that far away. But of course, the constant messages from Calum suggested that I should speed up. After about four hundred separate messages from Calum, I finally reached the house.
Damn, nice house guys.
I was almost to the door when it swung open, revealing Calum and Ashton...the curly headed one, right? God, I should probably learn their names.
"What the hell took you so long?"
"Well you know, there's this thing called traffic? It's quite common really..." I retorted.
I am not in the mood for this asian weirdo.
"I'm not fucking asian!"
Oops, apparently I had said that out loud...
"Whatever, why did I need to come here?"
Calum looked towards Ashton, as if prompting him to talk. He shook his head and pulled me to the living room where the other one was sat...Michael?
"Michael will explain"
Yes, I knew his name!
"Um- well...you see-"
"Spit it out Michael" I shouted
"The thing is...Luke is bipolar. We found out this morning that he hasn't taken his medicine for a few days" Michael stuttered, constantly looking towards the other boys who just glared at me intently.
"So?" I pushed on, hoping that there was some explanation as to why this involved me.
"You said he was really angry right? So, if he was really angry and he hasn't taken his medicine...I think it's safe to assume this isn't a good thing"
"Clearly not, but once again...why do you need me?"
"He changed since he met you, he told us how you apparently bring out the best in him. So, you need to help us find him. I'm guessing if you called him he would answer"
I shrugged my shoulders whilst pulling my phone from my bag.
I dialled his number cautiously.
It rang for a while before he picked up.
"Luke?"
"Help"
"Luke what's wrong?"
The other boys moved closer, trying to hear what Luke was saying.
"don't know where I am...my car crashed. I'm okay...scared"
Something's off about Luke...
"You're going to be fine, just stay on the phone with me okay?"
"You sound cute"
I laughed slightly. This boy had just crashed his car, in the middle of nowhere apparently, late at night but he was still trying to be funny.
"Where were you heading baby?"
SHIT
The boys all looked at me and I felt my cheeks heat up.
Please tell me he didn't hear that, it just slipped out.
"The beach" He didnt hear it. "I like when you call me baby"
Nevermind.
"We're heading out now, just stay on the phone with me and we'll be there with you soon"
"blanket...cold"
There was something so wrong with the way Luke was talking...it was as if he was a child; he was only able to make short, incomplete sentences. I chose not to bring it up in case this worried him. But honestly, I knew something was definitely wrong. The crash had done something, something bad.
Soon after, we were almost to where Luke said he had taken the turning. We were all keeping an eye out for his car and Luke was on the line trying to inform us if he saw our car coming towards him.
"can't feel my toes- where are you?"
"I think we see your car...just stay where you are" I hung up and waited for Ashton to stop the car. It was nearing midnight and it was practically impossible for us to see anything. We all had the torches on our phones lit up and began searching for Luke. After a few seconds, I felt a familiar pair of arms throw themselves around my torso from behind. His face was buried in the crook of my neck and I could hear muffled sobs coming from him.
He was scared about something, I could tell.
"Luke why are you crying?" I asked, trying to pry my body away from his out of discomfort. His grip was awfully tight to the point where it actually winded me.
"NO, don't push...you called me baby remember?"
