if you are going to read my newest rydellington fanfic then I apologise for the long wait but I am changing the plot to fit the story better and I deeply apologise for the wait, so instead these are a few future rydellington imagines/one shots to enjoy until then. :)
just another song. another show. another state. another tour. just the usual. or was it?
rydel and ellington sat beside each other, holding hands with fingers intertwined and swaying from side to side to the soft keyboard playing. Ross played "You and I." as he had for every show of the tour so far. rydel rested her head against ellingtons shoulder followed by a few screams from fans. a smile spread across her face. ellington kissed her cheek, followed by more screams.
then ellington got up and walked off stage. rydel watched him, confused and then looked across at riker and rocky who hadn't noticed.
she nudged riker. "riker, where's ell gone?" she whispered.
riker blatantly shrugged, watching ross. rydel grew nervous, thinking something was wrong. then half way through the song ross stopped playing, in the middle of a line. he didn't say or do anything.
rydel looked and riker and rocky who got up. "what the heck is going on?!" she asked them, also standing up. they ignored her, walking over to the side of the stage.
suddenly ross started playing a different song. her favourite song. She smiled a little through the confusion, enjoying the sound of the song. then ellington reappeared, he walked over to her and took her hands, leading her to the middle of the stage.
the lights were dimmed except for a spotlight on the two of them. rydel just looked at him, unsure of what to do. he pulled the microphone off one of the stands and held it to his mouth.
"I've been wanting to do this for ages but I didn't know how to do it. you deserve something so special, i just couldn't think of anything special enough. rydel, I've loved you since the second I met you I just didn't know it. now standing on this stage and thinking about all the memories we share, I know this is the right thing to do."
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black box. he dropped down on one knee opening it. a gasp erupted from the crowd of fans. rydel smiled widely, covering her mouth in shock and disbelief trying to hold back, tears of happiness.
"Rydel Mary Lynch. Make me the happiest man alive and please marry me?" Tears streamed down rydels cheeks and she violently nodded her head in agreement before falling into his open arms, embraced in the best hug ever.
The crowd cheered and applauded as he kissed her with passion and suddenly 'just another show' turned into the best concert of their lives.
