My heart dropped

Literally.

I found myself just staring at Jacob dumbfoundedly

"Selena I don't want to do this, I really don't but this relationship has done nothing but destroy me, and my career a-"

"You don't think it's caused me pain as well?" I snapped as tears formulated in my eyes "You're not the one getting bashed by a bunch of hormonal teenage girls..I literally sacrificed everything for this relationship to last and now you want to just fucking end it because your fans don't like it?"

"Selena it's not that I just-"

"WHAT IS IT THEN JACOB?" I yelled loudly my voice shaking

"I don't want you to be involved in this lifestyle Selena!" Jacob yelled back "The last thing I wanted them to do was find out about you! when I'm around you I can be Jacob that regular boy from Downey California, but this Princeton..lifestyle that's a whole different story.." He tugged at his hair softly "I don't want this for you..Selena.. I really don't."

"I can handle myself..look we both knew what we were getting ourselves into Jacob and now you're going to let your fans tear apart what we have? when we barely even started anything here?"

"That's not the point Selena."

"Then what is it Jacob?"

"I don't want them to tear away your happiness like they tore mine away." He sat on the bed next to me "Being famous is hell, sure it has its up but is things like this that just make me wish that I wasn't. there's so much stuff I want to do but I can't because I'm always getting judged. and criticized by people who think they know me when they don't. And I'm tired of it, I really am. It's been draining me little by little and I'm just tired. I just want to be with you. Selena. without anything extra." Jacob explained as a tear streamed down his cheek

I wiped away the tear with the pad of my thumb smiling at him halfway
"I have an idea."

"What?"

"How about you just take a break from everything, your Twitter, and your Instagram and just go back to it when you feel comfortable, and I'll do the same if you want me too. I mean I was just getting into Instagram but I'll delete it we can do this together." I placed my hand on top of Jacobs "I don't ever think you have to do anything by yourself we'll get through this babe."

Jacob placed his moist lips onto of mine holding them there for a long moment before he pulled away brushing a few of my curls from out of my face

"I love you." He whispered

"I love you too." I whispered back pressing my lips up against his once more
