I turned my phone back on and to my delight Jacob didn't actually blow up my messages.

the familiar tone of the Marimba began to ring out in the air, I rustled through my duvet pulling my phone into my hands I looked at the screen only to see Jacobs name plastered on it boldly, I rolled my eyes his determination kills me sometimes. I declined the call and placed my phone down closing my eyes I just wanted to sleep this guilt away.

"SELENA!" My eyes shot open at the sound of my Maya's voice in my ear

"What!" I yelled annoyed

"Your phone." She simply responded

"Ugh." I growled lowly picking up my phone the caller I.D reading unknown

"Hello?" I spoke into the phone

The line was silent for a couple of seconds before I heard a stammering voice say "H-h-hey Selena I-Is this y-you?"

My heart froze as I sat there in shock

it didn't take a rocket scientists to figure out that It was Jacob on the other line.

"Hello?" He called again

"No this is my her I'm sorry." I lied

"Selena, don't lie to me." His voice was firm

I looked at my cousin my eyes begging for her help she snatched the phone taking over the conversation

"Who is this?" Maya asked with a hint of sassiness in her voice

"Voicemail what voicemail?" She continued

"You know there's more than one Selena in the world and this ain't the one you're looking for so bye."

She hung up the phone only for it to begin ringing again

"Selena you're gonna have to handle this on your own he's not buying it." Maya said tossing me my phone

I pressed the green answer key and held the phone up to my ear "Hello?" I spoke

"Selena we need to talk like now." Jacob said his tone rather harsh
