I couldn't believe what was happening. We had just defeated the Titan Lord and gathered the survivors. I didn't think anything worse could happen. I was wrong.

I fell to my knees and let out a howl of pure anguish. All of my friends had just been sucked up by a black hole in the middle of Central Park. I couldn't believe they where all gone. No. I wouldn't believe it. I rose to my feet and started sprinting around the feild, looking for any sign that somone had been spared. Everywhere I looked, I only saw trees. I couldn't find anyone. My energy was deteriorating fast, but I wasn't going to give up until I found someone. I refused to believe that I was the only survivor of the black demon.

I suddenly heared a moan behind me. I spun around to see a head of dirty blonde hair laying on the ground next to a huge oak tree. I ran over, thinking that it was Annabeth, thinking that she was okay, that I wasn't alone after all. But when I rounded the tree, I found not Annabeth, but a girl in a white tank top and torn blue jeans. I bent down to check her pulse. She seemed to be breathing normally, but her heartbeat was almost nonexistent. I knew immediately that she needed medical attention. I ran over to a random backpack and took out a small bag of ambrosia. I dashed back over to the girl and fed it to her.  Well, at least I tried to feed it to her. As soon as I brought it to her mouth, her arm shot up and grabbed my wrist. I saw her eyes open and widden, and the next thing I knew I was on the ground. Pain shot up my back as the girl ran over and pinned me down. She drew her fist and got ready to punch me. I cringed and pulled back. Suddenly her grip slackened, and I took the slight advantage and jumped up. I drew Riptide only to find that she was gone.

I heard a rustling in the branches above me and looked up. The girl seemed to have scaled the tree and was peering out at the moon from the top. She suddenly shuddered and let out a blood-curteling wail.

"FANG! ANGEL! NUDGE! IGGY! GAZZY! TOTAL! PLEASE! PLEASE COME BACK!" There was a sob, and I realized she was crying. The sobing went on for a couple of seconds and abruptly stopped. She stood up and before I realized what she was doing, she jumped out of the tree. I yelped and ran over to catch her, but I shouldn't have bothered. Before she started to decend, two gorgeous golden brown wings unfurled on her back and she started to fly. I watched in amazement as she soared around central park. She was beautiful.

Suddenly, a blinding pulse of light exploded around her, and the next thing I knew, she was falling out of the sky.
