"Get up we have to move... Cmon boy wake up... Alright if you don't wanna get up I'll make you get up."
Cedric awoke to a splash of water in the face.
"Hey what the hell was that for?!" Cedric said angrily.
"You're a very sound sleeper." Xavier said, smirking. "I tried waking you up before so I had to resort to this. Honestly if it didn't work I'd be out of ideas."
"Stop smiling you ass." Although Cedric could help but grin.
"Quickly dry yourself off. We have to hurry if we are going to warn the king about what's happening."
A while later they were back on their horses and on the road again. They were getting closer to Sor'real. One thing irked Cedric still though.
"Xavier, I still don't understand something." Cedric said confused.
"What would that be?" Xavier replied.
"Well I just don't understand why the fake you wants to take the throne. What could he possibly gain?"
"That... Is a good question. What would a shadow beast want with the throne? If I had to guess I'd say that it must be working for something or someone. Although who or what I'm not sure."
"Well I guess we'll just have to find out won't we."
"Yes I suppose so."
The rest of the journey was a silent one, the crunching of branches under the steeds hooves were the only noise to be heard. They reached Sor'real by the time night had started to roll around. As Cedric was about to stroll towards the kings castle Xavier put a hand on his shoulder.
"Come now boy its better we rest now."
"But we have to go warn the king now, we don't know when the assassins could get here." Cedric said.
"We have had a long journey and it's late, the King may not even be awake right now."
"Well then we have to wake him up and start preparing for war!"
"I said no Cedric. Two men dressed all in black going into the castle at night is bound to give the wrong impression."
"I suppose you're right Xavier. Sorry for being so rash."
"It's all right. Let's just go get a room at the inn."
A while later the two were in their beds asleep after a night of planning, drinking and eating. At least, Xavier was asleep. What he didn't know was a certain blonde haired assassin was running towards the castle, prepared to warn the king of the upcoming danger.££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££
Wow so alright it's been a long time. I know this is a really short chapter and it seems rushed. It kinda is. I struggled a lot with this because I just didn't know what to write. The next chapter I already have an idea in mg head so it shouldn't take as long to write and it should have more to it than this one. I hope you'll stay with me to finish this book and move onto the next one soon.
