Chapter 10: The Rotten Father nightmare

Delmi's POV:

"What!" I yelled as seto just stared at the floor. "Yeah he was beat and abused when he was younger".

I've been through that pain before, all that pain and horror I have seen....little mason has been through it more. Samiah turned 13 a few months ago, Mason turned 13 just last week, while I turned thirteen 1 month ago. So we are all close to age.

"We need to find him seto" I said frantic as seto grabbed a flashlight. We both ran downstairs into the darkness of night.

Mason's POV:

I ran. The nightmare was killing me inside and out. My head was pounding while my feet trembled under the weight. I collapsed into so many trees on the way here as I tried to get to the orphanage. My bags under my eyes continued to heavy and darken as my feet trembled more. I gasped as the shadows took over my vision my body crumbling onto the floor.

Seto's POV:

I ran with Delmi through the woods the creaking and snapping of wood behind us making my hairs jump.

The woods made me shiver as I ran through the forest until I stumbled upon a body pale white from the cold with bits of ice on his head from were his sweat iced up. His hair was almost a pure white while his clothes thin to the touch. "Delmi" I yelled as she stumbled besides me with a syrim in her hand.

"what the heck why do you have a syrem with you" I asked as she shrugged. I thought that we would have to jump to plan B". I shrugged as I put my hands under neath the boy as I lifted him up, his body as thin and weak as a strain of pasta. His body seemed so lifeless but still had a heart beat.

THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP

Delmi helped lift him as adrenalin shot through my body. I grabbed Delmi's hand as we shot through the woods my feet running faster than they are suppose to be.

THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP

My running continued to speed up as a purplish blue light formed around our body.

THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP

I felt a release of hidden energy shoot through my vanes as the light surrounded my body consuming Delmi and the child.

There was a loud screech as everything went
silent. I  opened my eyes to look around and see everyone, well Delmi and the boy sprawled out on the den floor my head throbbing.

THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP

I switched on the light as I turned rapidly and saw what I thought I would never seen again.A. An almost beat up Mason.

Hey guys sorry if this came out so late middle school has been a hassle. But the thumping noise was describing Seto's heart rate and beat. So the bold means if the heart beat gets faster.
