Chapter 58

Ross P.O.V

Since our one year anniversary is coming up I thought this should be a special moment for me and Jasmine. I had many ideas for this special day but nothing was perfect to me, so while  she is taking Jace to the library and I have the kids with Riker in the house.

"So already have an idea?" He asks as he holds Jade in his arms holding her tight. He already was looking like a dad, especially with the girl being a few months pregnant.

I run my fingers through my hair and notice how long it has gotten "I need a haircut" I said with an eye roll and rubbed the stubble at my cheeks, ever since the kids were born I have really let myself go. I take quick 5 minute showers, my hair is at my shoulders and I am surviving off of burgers and water.

Riker chuckled softly "Well that's a start you know, give yourself a makeover for her. Probably a haircut, take a nice long shower, wear some cologne and just dress in nicer clothing other then black jeans" he says with an eye roll.

I look down at my pants and felt my mouth drop "I wear black jeans all the time, and on occasion I wear sweatpants" I said raising my hands up in a surrender motion.

Riker shook his head and frown "Jasmine is the one who had the kids and she looks amazing, all due respect but you look terrible. Maybe go get yourself ready today then hang out with her all day tomorrow?" he shrugs "Take her to all the places that mean something to the both of you, the place you propose anywhere special" he says.

I look at him and smile "I sometimes wonder why you're single but I have a favor since I still want something for her to have here at the house" I said as I get closer to Riker "I was wondering if maybe you could get Rydel or you to prepare an outdoor dinner area just for tonight. So some lights hung above, a table, some candles, roses, the ideal dinner set" I said with a wink.

Riker nodded his head "Yeah alright I will get Rydel to work on it tomorrow while you guys are gone. Just make sure you guys are gone for at least five to six hours, who knows what I might have to cook up" he says with a smile.

"Thanks man honestly" I said before giving him a hug then gave a small peck to Jade "We are going to make momma so happy" I said to her.

The front door slammed open letting in Jace run in before going upstairs and then in walks Jasmine looking, like what Riker described her, amazing. She has on her beautiful sundress that just made her better then ever.

"Jace is too excited for those books" she says with a beautiful smile before coming to take a seat next to me and grabs Jade from Riker "How did this girl behave?" she asks as she gave her a kiss.

I look at Riker "Well he is the one who has been holding her the entire time while the others I put down for a nap about a few minutes ago" I said with a smile knowing how happy it made her to hear me act like a father.

Jasmine gives Jade back to Riker and then gives me a quick kiss "I will just go upstairs and check on them I'll be back" she says before walking away.

I look at Riker and then look at the stairs "So should I go now or should it wait?" I ask unsure of when to go since I have the kids and then I have Jasmine.

"Go now don't worry I'll be here helping her out, tomorrow is the special day" Riker says with a smile.

I nod my head before going up the stairs to the bedroom seeing Jasmine go through her clothes "Hey babe, what are you looking for?" I ask with a smile as I walk up to her.

She turns around and I see the throw up on her dress "Jackie had a little spit up situation going on so I am going to change into my mommy clothes now" she giggles as she grabs one of my t shirts and a pair of yoga pants.

I chuckle and then peck her lips "Hey I have some errands to run so I might be gone for a while but Riker is going to be here helping you out, I will be back in a flash" I said with a small smile.

She smiles at me and nods her head "Okay goldilocks" she smirks before I walk out the room to let her change. So in that second I go down stairs and was out the door. I really want this to go in the right way because Jasmine means the world to me.

From the little girl I remember to the women she is now, I have loved her through all of it. Now that I have been married to her for a year means a lot to me cause in that year life threw us so many boulders that we are passing. I have spent all my life with Jasmine and some should say a year being with them should basically mean nothing but it means so much more.

Every year has its story with its chapters and this ear was a new chapter in our lives. We went from newly weds to parents in a short time period so this year of being married is so much more. That's why I'm stressing over every detail, I want this to be special.

I park my car in front of my stylist's house hoping he was home and luck was on my side "Ross what do you want?" he asks as I walk into his house.

"Look I know this is quick but I need a hair cut" I said as I grab a lock of hair and show him how long it is "If this keeps growing my hair will be like my wife's hair" I said as I grab a pair of scissors and cut off a strand.

He stares at me with wide eyes and sighs "You are lucky that you are like a son to me Ross" he says before taking me to the chair and starts going through my hair "First off we need to wash this crazy mess you son of a bitch" he says before hitting my head.

I rub my head and just went with everything he was doing to my hair. I was just sitting there seeing all the long pieces go away from my head and leaving me in my new short hair just like when I was eighteen. "Thanks Frank" I said with a smile.

He makes a face and nods his head "Yeah yeah now leave before I decide to chop it all off" he says which in a matter of seconds puts me running to my car and driving off to the store.

I had to find clothes tomorrow and make sure Jasmine had a special gift to remind her how much I love her. So I park the car outside the store and walked in to be greeted by the usual salesperson.

"Good to see you sir is there anything you would like to see or need?" He asks with an obvious fake smile.

I smile at him and nod m y head "Yeah I have this anniversary coming up and I want to give my wife a beautiful present to make her special" I said as I look around the store seeing all the rings, bracelets and every thing looking gorgeous.

The man smiles wide at me "Alright I think I have something just for you" he says before going behind the counter and pulls out a necklace that just remind me so much of Jasmine, I could just imagine her with it on. Making her look gorgeous, wonderful even, I wanted to get it for her no matter the price.

"I want it" I said as I look at the necklace loving the way it looks. I just want to see Jasmine's face when I give this to her, she deserves everything in the world because she is my world.

"This is one lucky wife you have" the man says with a smile.

I chuckle softly to myself "I am just one lucky husband" I smile.
