Chapter 29

Jasmine P.O.V

 I hugged the small little boy who was softly shaking against me. I ran my fingers through his light brown hair, it had pieces of blonde in it, so I guess dirty blonde hair.

"How old are you?" I asked softly as I looked down at him but he hid his face from me.

"I'm ten years old soon to be eleven in a few weeks" He said softly. I wanted to kneel down to look at his face but with a belly this size it was nearly impossible.

Then I see Ross walk up to kid "Do you ever think of leaving this place and have a family?" He asked as he kneeled down to the kid's size and smiled at him.

Once I saw this I could see Ross with our future children, growing up and he would be there to comfort them. I wanted to help his kid so bad, from the moment I saw him I felt something bringing me to him, I couldn't let go of him.

"I do Sir, I dream of having a mother and father. I dream of having siblings but I know that wont happen" He says and all of a sudden I felt my heart break at his words.

"Why do you say that?" I ask as I finally see his young ten year old face. Bright shining green eyes filled with so much hope and youth, a tender face, he just looked so innocent that it was adorable.

He hesitates to speak "I lost hope once I was returned here and ever since none of the parents that come in here have taken a look at me. They mostly want the younger kids or the good looking one" He sighs as he runs his fingers through his hair.

"What's your name?" Ross asked as he gently rubbed the kid's shoulders.

"My name is Jace and I don't think I have a last name" He said biting his lip.

I smiled at the young kid and found myself falling even more in love with him "It was nice talking to you Jace" I said softly as I shook his hand.

"It was nice meeting you guys too" He said before running off going into what I assume was his room.

I grab Ross' hand and smiled "That was him babe, I really fell in love with him" I said softly.

"I like him and plus the name Jace is pretty cool" He chuckled as we back downstairs to go to the Director's office.

We entered to see him talking on the phone. "Okay that's good I will tell them.....thank you again" He said before turning his chair around to see us. "Jasmine and Ross I can officially tell you that you can adopt a child" He smiles.

I felt my hand latch on to Ross' hand and my heart went completely warm "We already have a kid in mind" I said with a wide smile.

"Who would that be?" He asked as he looked at the both of us.

"Jace" I said remembering his green eyes filled with youth. I really did fell in love with that kid, he caught my heart with just one look.

He sighed "You do know about the kid right?" He softly said.

"Should we be worried?" Ross asked as he made me take a seat on the chair.

"Well Jace is a good kid but he has his problems except his problematic. His mother died giving birth to him and his father left him in a dumpster just outside the adoption center. A couple once adopted him but soon returned him because he wasn't what they wanted" He informed us.

I could feel Ross looking at me but I only stared at the director "I still want him" I said.

"Okay" The director said before he pressed a button on his desk and then walked in a women with Jace by her side. Congratulations Jace today is adoption day for you"

The little boy looked at me then at the director "Them?" He asked softly as he walked away from the women heading towards me. His green eyes stayed on me then went to my baby belly.

"Yes Jace Ross and Jasmine are your new parents" The director says before going on his computer then began to type stuff on it. "So his name will be what?" He asked.

"Jace Lynch" Ross said as he looked at the little boy softly placing his hand on his shoulder.

"Okay then we need a check to us if you can and then Jace is all yours" He says with a smile.

Ross does so then we get a shake from the director and walk out of the building with Jace by our side.

"So I guess you are now my parents?" He asked softly as he looked at us.

I smiled at him "Yeah I will be your mother and Ross will be your father"

Jace then pointed to my belly "What about this?" He asked as his hand connected to my belly.

I chuckled at this and so did Ross "Those are going to be your siblings little man" Ross says before running his fingers through Jace's hair.

"We are going to take you home so you see where you will be living" I said as we walked to the car and got in.

During the whole drive home Jace was staring out the window as if he was never outside before.  But then again he was in a building for a long time and who knows if they took the children out to go breath fresh air or run in the fields.

It was silent all the way till the car parked onto the driveway.

"You live here?" He asked softly as I took him out of the car. He walked in front of me to the door and was shocked when he saw Riker at the door "Who are you?"

Riker looked at me chuckling "I'm Uncle Riker" He says before messing up the kid's hair.

I only watched as I saw Riker talk to Jace then I felt Ross wrap his arms around me "I'm glad we did this" He says softly as he placed a kiss to my neck.

I sighed as I knew that our family was growing "So am I" I turned to face him and gave him a soft kiss. At that exact moment I felt a kick on my stomach "Ross!" I said loudly.

He pulls away quickly and stares at me in horror "What? Did I do something wrong?" He asked with his hands up in the air.

I grab his hand and placed it over my belly "It kicked" I smiled as I felt it do it again which made a smile grow on Ross' face.

"Babe this is amazing" He said before he gave me another kiss. He kneeled down and placed a kiss on my belly "I'm so glad to know that you guys are going to here soon in this world" I felt Ross' hand rub over my belly.

I could just imagine the kids running around when they're older, when they're born I can imagine them sleeping in their cribs. Holding them and seeing them grow is a treasure all parents have, knowing that they created a child and taught them the way of living is just amazing.

"Hey guys I'm glad to see that they are kicking but lets focus on Jace over here" Riker shouts and snaps me out of the kicking babies.

I walk to Jace and smile at him "I guess you want to see your room" I said looking into his green eyes.

He nodded his head "Yes please" Jace said politely. Why would anybody ever return him back to the adoption center, he was an angel.

I grab his hand and lead him up the stairs to his room "You will sleep here, this is your room" I said as I watched him explore the new setting.

He touched the bed and then went to the window smiling. He quickly ran to the bookshelf and grabbed one of the books of the shelf. "I've never had my own books" He said softly.

I smiled at him "Well if you enjoy reading then we can go to the library any day and buy you books" I said to him softly as I look at the bookshelf.

Then I felt his little arms wrap around m y legs "I'm glad you are my mother" He said softly. And with that I knew he was never leaving my side.
