Chapter six

Zayn pov

                “Awe look at Zayn and Lennox, she must have gotten scared.” I hear Louis say after the door opens. I just pretend to be asleep. I feel Lennox move in my arms and snuggle closer to me.  I smile and hide in her neck. “He smiled, he likes her!” harry whispers. ‘No shit harry’ I think to myself Liam and niall could already tell, Louis knew too. “No really harry? That’s why he wasn’t fighting to sleep in here.” Louis says sarcastically. “Well someone is being extra sassy today.” I hear harry whisper yell walking out of the room. “Well someone is being extra stupid today.” Louis whispers yells walking out after harry. I chuckle and shake my head. I relax and start falling back asleep but Lennox moves and starts waking up. “Did you sleep ok?” I yawn sitting up. “No, I hate thunder storms.” She huffs hugging me. I hug her back and sigh, it would not be good if I asked and she said no it would be awkward for the rest of the summer. I nod and we sit there a little while just cuddling. “We should go down.” Lennox says. I nod and we get out of bed and get ready for the day, as always Lennox is wearing a dress. She always looks so pretty, she has her hair braided to the side and is wearing a dress made out of what looks like to be jeans. I smile and we go down stairs.  “Finally dad needs to talk to us.” Max says taking Lennox’s arm and pulling her down the hall. “Ah god! Max what the hell!” she giggles swatting his hand. I sit down with the guys and Abree. “What do you think they are talking about?” Louis asks. “Boppa’s house!” Abree says excited. “Oh really?” Louis laughs. We hear Lennox on the phone walking down the hall. She comes in and sits down next to me, “yes Janelle, yea I promise, ok I will see you soon. Love you too bye jello.” She laughs. “Sorry, well we have to pack we are leaving tomorrow for our grandparents house, you’re coming too!” Lennox smiles. “Yay! Boppa and nana!” Abree giggles hugging harry. “Boppa?” niall asks. “Our cousins started it they couldn’t say grandpa so they said boppa instead.” Max says going down to the basement. “Ok so we sleep in the tree house, so you’re gonna need warmer clothes and then it’s really warm during the day, but we have to work outside in the morning so. You’re gonna need jeans and shorts and all that.” Lennox says really excited. “Wait all of us in one tree house?” niall laughs. “It’s huge like the size of this room, no joke, all our cousins sleep up there, and it’s so much fun.” Lennox giggles. “Sorry she gets like this when ever she’s excited.” Max says coming up with sleeping bags. “Oh come on like you’re not excited to see James?” Lennox asks. “Well yea, but you’re like freaking out.” Max laughs. “Sorry I feel bad for Janelle and I haven’t seen her in over a year and she is upset because she got kicked off, and I miss her and Kayla, you saw James like two months ago.” Lennox yell after him going down to the basement. “Oh yea Boppa’s house is in Utah and we are driving.” Lennox says before going down to the basement. “I'm really confused.” Harry says. “Yea so we are driving to their grandparent’s house and sleeping in a tree?” Louis asks. We all burst out laughing, “I sleep in the house with, jack and fawn.” Abree says continuing coloring in her Aladdin coloring book. “Ok so we have toy story sleeping bag, tangled, cars, Aladdin, and a red one for you guys.” Lennox says putting them on the ground. “I call toy story!” Liam shouts. We all laugh and Lennox gives him the toy story sleeping bag. “I want cars!” harry says. Lennox through it at him.  “Owie!” he whines rubbing his head. “Tangled!” Louis shouts taking the pink and purple sleeping bag with Ryder and Rapunzel on it. “Jesus!” Lennox laughs. “I want the red one!” niall says. She hands it to him. “And I get Aladdin.” I laugh taking it from her. Lennox phone starts ringing, 3OH3!’s dirty mind. “Ah crap, Kayla.” She says picking it up. Harry starts laughing, “That’s your ring tone?” he laughs. “Shut it.” she says answering the phone. “Kayla!” Lennox giggles after hear some screaming on the other end. “Guys I'm gonna go pack.” Lennox laughs going to the stairs. “So I'm guessing they have a big family?” Louis asks. “Yea there is James and Janelle and jack. And then there is Kayla and Justin and fawn. And then willy.” Abree says. “Yep that’s pretty big.” Liam chuckles. “Guys hope you don’t mind but my dad needs some help around the cabin, could you help?” Dan asks. “Yea that’s not a problem your nice enough to let us stay here and lets us come with you.” Liam says we all nod and agree. “Thank you boys, it will be easier for my dad then.” Dan sighs. “Daddy, is grandma gonna make the cookies with us again?” Abree asks tugging on his pants. “Maybe I don’t know aboo.” He laughs. “I hope so I want to make jack drink vanilla again.” she giggles. “Well I don’t think he will make that mistake again, get packed boys we are leaving at six tomorrow to get there in one day.” He smiles. “Ok thanks we will.” Harry smiles standing up. “Miss Abree we have to get your stuff together.” Lion says taking her hand and leading her down the hall after her father. “Ok I know we have been here for a few weeks now but I still find it weird the whole butler thing.” niall whispers we all laugh and nod in agreement. We all go upstairs and go to our rooms to pack. I hear Lennox talking on the phone still, “hey Zayn.”  She smiles when I walk in. “hi.” I smile picking my small duffle bag up and putting clothes in that I will need. I only hear half of the conversation that she is having with her cousin Kayla I think that was her name but Kayla sounds crazy. “yea they are coming, maybe he will I don’t know, yes kinda, no, no, no, no, yes, ok please stop, no please don’t you know how that worked out last time you tried, Kayla please no, I knew I shouldn’t have told you, yea, fine, I will try, you’ll have to do that on your own, aha yea defiantly ok love you too see you soon, bye.” She giggles hanging up. “Oh Kayla, gotta love Kayla.” Lennox laughs pulling out some shirts and pants from her closet. “You’re close with your cousins?” I ask her putting some jeans in my bag. “Yea Janelle and Kayla boppa calls us the three musketeers.” Lennox laughs putting some clothes in her bag.  “We are all the same age born each a day apart, this is Janelle and this is makayla, but everyone calls her Kayla except boppa because he knows it makes her mad.” Lennox laughs showing me a picture. “You look really little there.” I smile looking at the picture of the three little girls laughing. “Yea we were ten there, we look a little different now. That was the best summer, and also the worst.” She sighs putting the picture frame back on her dresser. “Why?” I ask we both go out to her balcony. “That was the year grandma told me what actually happened, to my mother, this time I understood, it’s just hard not really knowing what your parents were like. I always dreamed that my dad was this nice handsome guy that swept my mom off her feet, but in reality he was just some old guy that took advantage of her. I just wish that I knew who he was even if he didn’t want me, just to know who he was.” She sighs looking out at the ocean. “I'm sorry.” I whisper. She shrugs, “I can’t change the past why dwell on it, I am just glad that uncle Dan even thought of taking in his sister child, otherwise who knows what kind of life I would have had.” she says scrunching up the eye brows thinking really hard. “Don’t think about it, like you said don’t dwell on the past.” I say taking her hand. “Thanks Zayn, I don’t talk about this much cause it makes everyone upset, it feels good to get this off my chest.” She sighs scooting over to sit next to me. I wrap my arm around her and she lays her head on my chest. “You can talk to me about anything.” I whisper. She nods and smiles snuggling into me more. I take her hand and squeeze it, “I really like you Lennox, w-would you be my girlfriend?” I ask shutting my eyes. “y-yes.” She says. I look down at her and she smiles, I lean in and press my lips against hers. “Finally!” we hear all the guys say at once. We look over and see them standing in the doo way. “Really?” I laugh kinda pissed off and annoyed that they ruined it. I look at Lennox who is embarrassed and playing with her hand in her lap blushing. “Leave!” I say serious. They all hold up their hands laughing. Liam shoots me a ‘sorry’ glance and closes the door. “Sorry Lennox they just have to ruin everything.” I sigh chuckling. She nods and laughs, “can we try again?” she smiles. I nod and press my lips on hers again.
