I didn't walk into the house until about 9am Sunday morning and Kelly greeted me in the kitchen.

"Good morning Kels." I said with a smile.

"What are you giggling about?"

"I'm not."

"You're smiling out from ear to ear."

"Omg Kelly last night me and Carter had a moment."

"A moment?"

"Yea, we talked last night. It wasn't really nothing serious but I felt a connection and I'm sure he did too."

"All this while Xavier was in the next room...."

"Well he wasn't in the next room, he was upstairs sleeping."

"And that makes it better?"

"No, but I can't help what I want."

"Anyway Beyonce what do you have up for today?"

"I don't know, Xavier's family is in town so he'll be with his family all day. I'll probably just stay home and catch up on my homework. I have a few papers due Wednesday." "Why?"

"Because Alicia is throwing a party tonight and she wanted to have it here."

"So wouldn't it be our party?"

"If you look at it that way, yea, I guess."

"Well I don't care about the party, have fun, I'll just go to the library."

"Now you know the campus library is closed on Sundays."

"Oh yea that's right. But don't worry about me, I'll find somewhere quiet to work."

"Are you sure?"

"Yea, imma go shower and take a nap."

"Alright."

Now of course Kelly didn't need my permission to throw a party but me and my roommates respect each other, meaning we always let each other know about the partys we have especially if they're on a school night. When we all decided to move off campus about a year and a half go, our house became the party house for all the college kids. But, once our things started disappearing and our landlord started complaining we had to stop all of the partying. Our partying went from every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night to every once in a while. Anyway like I said I was going to do I showered and went to bed.

(Shawn's POV)

Don't you hate when you run into your ex from years ago? Well me too. I was standing in the line at the grocery store when I saw my ex Olivia or Livie for short. I dated her my freshmen year in college before I met Xavier's mom. Livie was very insecure about herself and that's why we didn't work out. I've always been a sucker for a beautiful and confident women. Livie was the complete opposite, she was one of those women that you couldn't take anywhere. And I don't mean because she was the jealous type because she wasn't. Have you even heard of the freshmen 15? Yea, during freshmen year she gained about 50. Now I don't have a problem with bigger women, the problem I had with her was I couldn't take her no where. I would take her out to dinner and she would say "oh Shawn why would you bring me here you know I'm on a diet and I love their sweat water cornbread." Or we might go to a gas station and she would say "oh Shawn why would you bring me here you know I love their hotdogs" In the back of my mind I'm thinking damn girl I can't even fill up my gas tank now, but I never complained. I just took her home thinking it would be the best place for her...well I thought wrong, you know what she said "oh Shawn why would you bring me here, you know I have left overs in the fridge..." Now do yall get why couldn't take her anywhere? Well that's why we broke up, a nigga ain't have time for that.
