(Beyonce POV)
It's been three weeks since I heard anything from Shawn and it feels like my world has been turned upside down. When I returned to school that Monday after Thanksgiving I decided to drop out of the student council. I also decided to use the money in my forbidden account to buy myself an apartment, far away from campus. Well not that far, about 15 or 20 minutes away. I also bought myself a new car. I am going to be traveling a little further to school now so I do need reliable transportation. I don't want be around Xavier, which is the reason why I moved and I know that if I would of stayed in my old apartment I would of kept running into him, especially since he's still dating Kelly. I talk to Michelle everyday, she and I are still very close but as for Kelly we don't talk anymore. She acts like what I did to Xavier isn't as bad as what she is doing to me and further more she acts as if she didn't know about us. My mom calls me everyday and we are working on our relationship, it's still not perfect but we're working on it. My father and I well he lets my mom and sister call me now, so I'll call that progress. The first week without Carter was hard and the second week wasn't any better, but this week is somewhat better. I finally had the courage to call Carlos, and he said that he would be in New York Friday so if I can make it through this week I should be fine. Anyway it's only two and a half more weeks left until Christmas and I must admit that I am not in the Christmas spirit. Right now it's Monday morning and I am on my way to school. I arrived at school on time as usual. My first class is two hours long Ethics.
"Ok before we start today's lesson we are going to discuss your midterms." My professor stated.
The class let out a bunch of moans, sighs, and cries.
"Ok now that y'all got that out the way, I can explain the assignment."
Why do I even take an Ethnics class, its not like I even need this class. I should of followed my first mind and went with philosophy.
"So for your midterms I'm not going to give a test, instead I want a 10 page paper on what you learned this semester and that will be your final assignment for the rest of the semester."
One brave soul raised his hand.
"So you're telling me that from now until February 2nd this only thing we have to do for your class?"
"Well that's the only outside work you'll have from me, you'll still have class work."
"Oh well I'm ok with that." The brave soul responded.
"Any more questions?" My professor asked.
No one said a word. "Ok perfect. I have a question for you guys. Can y'all name a few well know people who were put in the news in the last 2 or 3 years for unethical behavior?"
"O.J. Simpson." Someone yelled out.
"Saddam Hussein" Another person yelled out. "What about Timothy McVeigh" Someone else said. "Or Monica Lewinsky" "Do Bill Clinton count?" Someone asked.
"Ok easy right?" My professor asked.
"Yea." The class responded.
"Ok now I want y'all to name some people who were in the news for ethical behavior."
No one said a word.
"Ok answer this. Does the way you were raised effect your behavior now as an adult? Does your environment also play a role in how you turned out? Ok lets hear from somebody we haven't heard from yet. Ms. Knowles."
He hasn't heard from over half the class....
"I think the way you were raised plays a big part in the way you turn out. If child grows up with out father she might try to find that love in men and it won't matter what this man do to her she'll except it because she don't know how to be loved, whereas a child who grew up with her father won't accept it because she already knows what love is or what love from a guy is suppose to feel like."
