Lisa Johns.
I wanted to scream and run into her arms the moment I saw her. I couldn't of course because she didn't know me. I didn't even exist, not only to her, but to the whole universe.
"She's gorgeous," Daniel said. You could tell by the way his eyes gleamed he was in love.
"That's Lisa Johns. Danny boys got a crush on her," Corey said raising his eyebrows.
"Oh," I said trying to act completely clueless.
"I'm going to make my move," Daniel said tapping Corey on the stomach.
"Go get her man," Corey patted him on the shoulder.
"Tonight's the night he planned on asking her out," Wil smiled taking a puff of his cigarette.
"They've had a thing going on for a couple of weeks," Corey added.
We watched Daniel for a few seconds. We watched him tap her on the shoulder, and then she followed him into the backyard.
That's when it clicked. Grandma had told me about this night a hundred times before. Tonight was the night my grandparents came home early from a trip, and caught my dad having a party. And if that's the case then-
"What is going on in here," We heard a loud voice boom through the large house.
"Uh, oh," Corey said as Wil quickly put out his cigarette.
"I want all of you out of here in less than two minutes," the voice said again. I peaked over the tall teenagers, and gasped. My grandparents. They looked so young.
Everyone started scrambling around, and I had to think fast on where I needed to go. The Time Machine. I quickly ran down the stairs to the basement, and grabbed the small round object.
"What are you doing down here?" I heard a voice behind me. I turned around, and was relieved at who it was.
"C'mon, let's get out of he-"
"What do you two think you are doing down here," I was interrupted by a younger version of my grandpa's voice.
"Hey Mr.Andrews," Corey said.
"Hi Corey, now answer my question."
"Oh um I was down here earlier, and I left my," I was fixing to say phone, but then I remembered that not many people had phones in the eighties. "I left my bracelet," I said holding up my wrist.
"Alright, you kids get home," he said walking up the stairs.
When we got outside of the house I had no clue where I was going to go. I heard footsteps running behind me, and Corey's voice.
"Hey where are you going?" He asked.
"Uh, home," I lied.
"Well, why it's only like 9:45?" He asked looking at his watch.
"My curfew is 10."
"Oh well, um," he said looking me in the eyes. "I guess it was really nice to meet you," he smiled.
DO NOT FREAK OUT VAL. PLEASE DO NOT DROOL OR DO SOMETHING STUPID.
"Yea, it was nice to meet you to," I smiled back.
He slowly leaned in and I was totally about to flip. I had never kissed anyone before. How was I going to tell my bestfriend how I had my first kiss. I can't just be like, oh yea my first kiss was when I went back in time and met Corey Haim, the cute kid from the lost boys.
But of course since he was Corey Haim I leaned in to, and kissed him. If this is what it's like to live in the eighties, then I never want to leave.
"Wow," he said pulling away. "Was that your first kiss?" He asked.
"Is it that obvious?" I cringed.
"Kinda," he smiled. "Alright, I gotta get back to slayin vampires," he winked walking backwards, and into the night.
Wow. Did that really just happen?
