Ace's POV
"Glad to see you finally came around," Hook said, taking a seat in his chair. We were in the Captain's Quarters, with Tiger Lily and Luke off to the sides of the room. I stood in front of his desk, my arms crossed across my chest.
"I can't believe he did that..." I mumbled, focusing on a point on the map on his desk. I just had to look devastated, torn apart. He had to believe me.
Hook laughed. "Oh, but I can. What did I tell you, darling? The boy's a bloody demon."
I nodded slightly. "I hate to say it but you're right, I should've listened to you."
Hook sat up straight, immediately curious. "You would never say that."
I sniffled, "Well, you were. I just got my heart ripped apart, and you warned me I would." He stared at me, as if trying to read my mind. What if it wasn't convincing? What if he didn't believe me?
"As much as I would love to have you jump right into the crew," Hook started, standing up. "I can't just assume you aren't lying to me. I need proof."
I gulped, what kind of proof? What was he going to make me do?
"What do you mean by proof?"
"Luke, if you don't mind."
I turned around to see Luke nod, opening the door to the room and exiting.
"What's he doing?" I asked.
"Getting what I like to call a lie detector."
That did not sound good, and if I knew my father it was something terrible. Maybe a heart to crush, a person to torture. As long as it wasn't someone I cared about I could do it.
Luke burst into the room, lugging something behind him. When he was all the way in, it wasn't a matter of what he was lugging, but who. It was Tobias.
"Get your filthy hands off me!" he spit. Luke threw him on the ground in front of me. His hands were bound behind his back, his head hanging.
Hook smiled, walking over to stand beside me. "I believe you two know each other?"
Tobias looked up, and his eyes widened. "Ace?!"
"How'd you get him?" I asked Hook, ignoring him.
Hook laughed. "He made the mistake of going to look for firewood alone. Oh, what a silly boy."
Tobias glared at the two of us from his spot on the floor. "No, there's no way in hell you'd work with him. You've told me the stories, I've seen the pain. You wouldn't."
"Yeah? Compare the pain he's caused me to Peter's. Peter is the one who's going to pay."
"And here's where our test begins," Hook interrupts, pulling out a pistol. "Acelina, if you shoot this boy, then we know who's side you really belong to. If you don't, well, then you're the one with a bullet in your head."
I shook, taking the pistol from Hook's hand. I couldn't do it. For the few short weeks Tobias had been at camp he had basically been my best friend. He was always there for me when Peter was gone, and always knew how to talk to me. I may be evil, but I wasn't this kind of evil.
"Why? He's not the one I want revenge on, it's Peter."
Hook shook his head, laying his hook on my shoulder. "Yes, but these boys work with him. You have to be willing to kill them to be with us."
"Ace, no please. We're friends, please don't do this," Tobias whispered, his eyes wide in fear. I looked between him and a determined Hook, what was I supposed to do here? I couldn't kill him!
