Ace's POV
I heard footsteps coming from behind me. I sighed, if it was Hook again I wouldn't hesitate to kill him this time.
"Ace?!" I heard Peter exclaim.
Peter? Was he really looking for me?
I got up and peeked around the tree I had sat with my back against. Sure enough, there Peter and Felix were running up the hill.
"Ace! Oh my god you're ok," Peter sighed, grabbing me and hugging me. I stood there, confused. I glanced over at Felix, who avoided my gaze.
"What-why?" Peter released me, taking a step back.
"I saw Hook was up here and you were and then he left and you didn't and I thought he pushed you or killed you or..." Peter trailed off, breathless.
"You came all the way here to make sure I was ok?" Was he still trying to manipulate me?
No way in Hell is he faking! My thoughts screamed, and they were right. At least, I liked to believe they were.
"Of course. Ace I don't know what I would do if I lost you. I know I've messed up so many times and I don't deserve you but I need you. Who else is going to love me? Who else is going to destroy everyone who comes here by my side?"
"Felix," I answered sarcastically.
Peter's expression became unreadable. Like he was just taking everything in
"Ace, I know you're upset but please, can you take this seriously?"
"I know I just... I don't know what to expect from you."
"I know you don't, but I'm just asking for one more chance," Peter begged. "I will tell you everything I may have never told you before. No more secrets, I promise to be upfront with you. Just please, don't leave me."
I looked over at Felix again. "Don't leave us," he said, nodding in the direction of camp. "We all love you, as a sister. You're one of a kind, Ace. We'll never find anyone like you again."
"That's enough Felix. Jesus, you're sounding better then me right now," Peter grumbled.
I couldn't help but laugh. "Peter, I want to trust you with all my heart, but I know you so well I don't know if I can."
"How can I prove it to you?" Peter asked. "I'll do anything. Bloody hell, I'll go kill Hook myself right now if you want me to."
I smiled, he would never ever say he'd do anything, even if his own life was on the line. "You would never do anything, and that's how I know. That's how I know I can trust you, I hope."
Peter's eyes lit up, and Felix smirked a little.
"I promise, no more lies. I'll tell you everyth-" Peter stopped mid-sentence.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Hook, he's at camp. And he has company," Peter said, his eye widening.
"We can finish fixing all of our problems later, we've gotta get back there." Peter nodded.
The three of us took off into the woods, and it just felt so... right. This was where I belonged, with Peter and Felix, running free through Neverland. This was where I was supposed to be. It was silly of me to think I would ever want to leave.
