Aomine had racked his brains on how to welcome (Name) back to Japan, and everything he came up with just wasn't true to her personality or their relationship. They hadn't seen each other for months, how could he be blanking out the day before her return? He'd first tried to think of traditionally romantic things, to no avail. Then, he thought about gestures that would mean something to only her, but they didn't have too many inside jokes, and the ones they did have weren't of any great importance...
Finally, it came to him. The day that they met, at the beach resort. He'd do something related to that. Now what to do? What happened that day? He broke the backboard... He met (Name) and walked on his hands.... She bandaged his injuries... They ate dinner... What did they eat again? Oh yeah! That pasta thing. Whatever it was called. Maybe he could take her out to dinner and they could have that? Nah... they could still do that, but it didn't have the special element he was looking for. Goodness... He'd really have to do something dynamic if we wanted to stand out in the crowd at the airport.
~
Aomine sat nervously at the airport, he had zero confidence in himself. For once.
He turned the object in his hands over and over, it would look so out of place in an airport. Maybe the people would magically recognize how important this was to him, and just move. It would be like those movies where the crowd parts for the couple and the light shines perfectly on their faces. Yeah. That'd be the day.
Then, he saw the door open, and he stood up immediately.
~(Name)'s POV (( I know I usually don't state POV, but it's important here)) ~
I stepped off of the plane and passed through the walkway, slightly disoriented. It was a longer flight from (country) to Japan, than I had anticipated.
However, I had to stay sharp, Aomine said he'd be here! Okay, he's a lazy ass and everyone knows it, but we hadn't seen each other in such a long time, he had to be there.
As I looked around, the very first thing that caught my attention was a bright teal and red soccer ball being lifted above the crowd, with Aomine's smiling face right under it.
The ball had "Welcome home!", written in sharpie on it, but I didn't take a moment more to look at it. I ran as fast as I could through that crowd to meet him.
He quickly placed the ball on the floor and caught me as I jumped to meet him.
~ Normal (heavily Aomine-oriented) Omniscient POV ~
Aomine was so glad that his girlfriend played a sport; He was able to hug her with all his heart, and he wouldn't have to worry about crushing her at all. She returned the hug with equal vigor.
She smelled like coconut conditioner that you probably couldn't buy in Japan, and her lips tasted minty, like she had enjoyed several sticks of gum on the plane.
He smelled like his traditional deodorant (something that smelled like a mixture of wood and sweet grass), and his lips tasted like juicy fruit mixed with smoked ham. At least he tried.
As they took a moment to breath, (Name) couldn't tone down the smile on her face to at least a grin.
"You're here..."
Aomine scoffed a tiny bit, "As if I would miss your return."
(Name) laughed, a sound that made Aomine's heart melt, "No, no. You're here, as in physically here. I can touch you and and see all of you."
She walked right into his trap.
"You certainly can.", he wiggled his eyebrows and dropped his hands from her shoulders to her hips.
(Name) turned a lovely shade of maroon, "You-You know what I meant!"
A booming laugh escaped his lips as he pressed his forehead to hers, "I've really missed you."
(Name) avoided his gaze with a smile, and replied seriously, "I have too... This still doesn't feel real..."
Aomine kissed her forehead, "Well, we have time to work on that."
(Name) hummed contentedly, "Yeah. We do, don't we?"
And with that, she laced her fingers with his,"Let's go claim my luggage."
Aomine grinned once more, "I've already done that- Ow!"
(Name)'s red face glowed and almost matched the soccer ball that was tucked under Aomine's arm.
"Okay, okay... ouch. In all seriousness, I-uh, got you some things. You were going to try out for the soccer team at Tokyo University, right?"
(Name) nodded slightly and confirmed his statement.
"Well... I did some research.", he almost looked bashful as he walked her over to where he had been sitting. There sat a box full of soccer essentials and goodies. Pre-Wrap (it's like a multipurpose roll of material that's really good at gripping things. Soccer girls use it for their hair.), gatorade, hair ties, that ball he had been holding, protein bars, electrical tape (I dunno about you guys, but I use it to keep my slide-in shins up), and even a pair of new cleats and SWEATPANTS (our sacred garment).
(Name) was nothing short of speechless, but she eventually managed to ask, "How'd you even find out that I use electrical tape for soccer?"
Aomine chuckled, "The soccer team had more than enough ideas."
(Name) immediately leaped to embrace him once again.
"Thank you so much, that was so thoughtful. I love you..."
Aomine felt a weight lifted off of his shoulders, he had made their reunion memorable and had made his girlfriend happy. Mission accomplished.
Why he put so much pressure on himself to please her, he would never know. Usually he'd act like the damn pervert he is, but something about this girl had changed him. It was torture and pure ecstasy at the same time.
He carried the box so she was free to get her suitcase.
"Now, we can get your luggage."
(Name) eyed him suspiciously.
Aomine groaned internally, "I actually mean your suitcase this time, no worries."
He'd take her out to dinner later, and then he could show her his admittance letter into Tokyo Univerity.

Ahahaha, you suckers thought it was a ring. Or maybe you didn't. Good for you! Or maybe bad for me... Either way, thank you again for reading. I hope this made a good 10th chapter "special", if you will.
Also, my plan now is to update weekly, mainly on the weekends. If I don't, yell at me for being a lazy author.
