(Name) stormed out of Akashi's office, as as the doors began to close, Aomine could see Akashi smirk through the opening. He returned the gaze with a glare of his own before turning to wrap his arm around (Name)'s waist and turn to leave with her.

She looked vaguely like someone had told her exactly how to live her life, which in essence, he guessed Akashi had.

As they settled into the limousine that had brought them there, (Name) didn't say a word, she simply groaned and pressed her face into Aomine's chest.

"I know. He's always been a spoiled douchebag... What did he say to you?"

(Name) sighed, "It was long and complicated, and he didn't say everything. But from what he did say, I can safely tell you that he wants me away from Tokyo University for the long term."

Aomine's face said it all, he was beyond furious, "He can't just barge into our life and tell you where you belong-"

"Aomine."

" - and even after he seemed to turn around-"

"Aomine!"

"Wha- oh. Sorry. What?"

(Name) looked at him solemnly, "It's a dick move by Akashi, but we have a legitimate decision to make here."

Aomine furrowed his brow, "What? What decision is there to make. WE have to fight him." he sighed, "We can talk more about this once we get home."

Home... the very word resounded in (Name)'s mind. Would she be able to stay with Aomine? Could Akashi force her out of Tokyo University? Life was busy but great, until Akashi reared his ugly head.

As the chauffeur dropped them off in front of (Name)'s dorm building, Aomine studied her face carefully. He couldn't lose her to anyone, never mind Akashi. It wasn't that he didn't trust her, he did, he just feared Akashi's power and allure.

Aomine rubbed his eyes as he sat at his desk in lethargic stupor, Akashi's caller ID was currently in full view on his phone. He hesitantly answered, "Hello?"

"Hello Daiki."

Aomine sat up, "What do you want."

"My, my. How rude Daiki. It's almost like I've stolen your girlfriend already."

"You weren't like this at the end of highschool, Akashi, what's going on?"

"Absolutely everything important to me Aomine. Listen, I don't know what (Name) has told you about our talk, but I can assure you that it's for a good cause."

"Stealing my girlfriend? A good cause? What drugs are you on?"

"Ah, so she didn't tell you everything I guess."

"Stop that condescending bullshit act. What are you talking about?" Aomine found himself clutching the phone a lot harder than he originally was.

Through the phone, he could hear a sad chuckle from Akashi, "I'll just tell you. I'm desperate, Aomine. My daughter is dying."

The chill that ran through Aomine's spine was incredible, "I.. I'm sorry, man."

"No... Don't be, my friend. I haven't been handling this well. I need (Name) because her blood type matches my daughter's, and in addition, she is one of the few people with an immune system strong enough to fight off the disease."

Aomine didn't even realize that he had been holding his breath throughout Akashi's narrative.

Akashi continued, "I hired the instructors from your University so (Name) could continue her studies while the tissue transplant was taking place. I didn't know how else to get you two to help me when it was such a life altering decision to make. Old habits, I guess."

Aomine gulped, "Have you talked to (Name) about this again, yet?"

"No, I felt that you would be better suited to advise her than I. I had to inform you of the facts."

Aomine brushed a hand through his hair, "Alright. Thank you. I'll speak to her after she gets out of class."

"Keep me informed, Aomine."
