(Name) was awakened by the sensation of falling and arms surrounding her. As she reached out to latch onto the torso those arms belonged to, she squeezed her eyes shut. All she could do was hold on tight and brace herself for the seemingly endless impacts.

Even after the bus had rolled to a stop, (Name) kept her eyes squeezed shut for a good couple of minutes longer. She stayed and laid there, even though she knew it was dangerous to stay. She had to start thinking rationally, delving into the trauma could be fatal.

Eventually she peeked at the world, and was granted a view of someone's chest. Looking up, (Name) realized that it was Aomine that she had been holding onto for dear life, and he wasn't awake. Groaning, she sat up and forced the gears in her mind to start working again; She had to check if Aomine was breathing. That was a good start.

(Name) slowly leant down to listen, and was rewarded with the noise of life. She couldn't tell if it was irregular or not, but at least he was breathing.

Okay. 'Keep moving' she thought.

"Is everyone okay?"

She called out to the passengers and got less responses than she would have liked, but they were still a welcome sound. The crash wasn't fatal.

(Name) wandered back into her own thoughts, formulating a plan, but was soon snapped back to reality when she detected a small movement next to her. It was Aomine.

He slowly opened his eyes and groaned. Man, he felt like crap. It took another moment for things to come into focus and for his ears to stop ringing, but eventually Aomine was able to make out a face above him. It was a girl's face. Or maybe an angel's face? No, wait, angels don't bleed. Wait, do they? No! Stay on track! That's.... (Name)?

Why is she bleeding?!

Suddenly her voice reached his ears.

"Aomine! Aomine! Can you hear me? Please!"

It took him a second to overcome the shock, but he eventually found his voice.

"I-I'm okay. What happened to you?"

Another wave of concern passed over (Name)'s face, and she reached out to place her hands on the sides of his head.

"Crap... You could have a concussion... Aomine, listen, we were in a crash-"

He jumped in to stop her, gently bringing her hands down from his face to in front of them, but not letting go.

"I don't have a concussion. Promise. I meant, what happened to your head? You're bleeding."

(Name)'s expression twisted into one of confusion.

"I am?"

She tugged one of her hands free to dab at her forehead. It genuinely surprised her when her fingers came back red.

She stammered and scrambled for an explanation, "The- The glass must have.. Uh.. Cut me."

Aomine gave the sight of her injury another frown and then looked around, surveying the damage.

"Tch. What a mess..."
