BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-

Ugh. What time was it- "(NAME)"

(Name) found herself victim to the shakes and shouts of Satsuki, who was grinning a little too much for (Name) to feel comfortable.

"It's your wedding day!", she shouted directly into (Name)'s face while turning on the bedside lamp.

Then, it all came back to her, they were at a hotel, and today was the day (Name) was to be wed to Aomine Daiki. What a scary reality she lived in.

After that abrupt awakening, it was a whirlwind of preparations. She ate a breakfast of half-cooked pancakes and a banana while Satsuki laid all of the makeup they would need on the table. They then spent the next 3 hours preparing (Name)'s makeup and hair, which had to be the epitome of cosmetics perfection in their eyes. Finally it was time for the dress, which (Name) had chosen 3 months earlier. It was a very simple dress, but it fit her so well that even Satsuki couldn't complain about the serious lack of glitter or gems or whatever it was that she had insisted upon. It took a few tugs and a few sobs of happiness from Satsuki to complete the job, but finally (Name) was ready. She opened their hotel door to face the ocean.

There was no question that the wedding would take place on the beach. It was symbolically beautiful and a gorgeous venue anyway. That was the first thing she and Aomine had discussed in their plans. The way they had met made planning the wedding astronomically easier.

All (Name) had to do now was walk down the sandy aisle.

It approximately 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the side of the beach that they had rented, and in every one of those 10 minutes, (Name) could feel her heartbeat in her head. It felt vaguely like the runs the soccer team used to go for on the beach. Now she wasn't sure which event was more nerve wracking.

And then, she was there. She could see Aomine at the end of the sandy path. His expression was one that she had only seen on him one other time. (And I'll let you guys piece together when that was)

(Name) gave her arm to her (mother/father), and slowly proceded through the rows of seats shyly. It was a slightly breezy day, but (Name) couldn't even begin to think about such trivial things such as the weather. Then at last she was there. She was standing in front of her soon-to-be husband. All of the pinching in the world could not convince her that she was not dreaming.

He was dressed in a simple suit and navy tie to match his hair, but his face is what (Name) focused on.

"Hey." she whispered pathetically.

"Hey", he nervously chuckled in response.

And then they were saying their vows. And then there were rings. It all flashed by in a nervous, windy, sandy, bright, blur. Only when it was her turn to say "I do" did (Name) tear her gaze out of Aomine's.

"(Name) (Last Name), do you accept Aomine Daiki as your lawfully wedded husband and promise to support him through ill health and trying times? Do you promise to laugh and live alongside him?"

(Name) took a breath, "I do."

"Then by the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife!"

As her expression split into a smile, (Name) found herself lifted up into the arms of her husband of 3 seconds. She gladly leaned forward to kiss him as the crowd clapped and cheered.

~~~
At the reception, they were congratulated by many family members and friends, among the most memorable was Rayne and Izuki, who presented them with a gorgeous album of professional photos. Eagle eyes don't hurt in the field of photography, and Rayne was very good about choosing the more... attractive... photographs.
As the party wound down and it was time to cut the cake, (Name) laid her hand over Aomine's and whispered in awe, "The cake toppers...."
He smirked, she had found his little surprise.
Before his lips met hers for the millionth time that night, he replied, " They're made of glass."
