I made it into my first period study hall right as the bell began to ring. Talk about perfect timing. The room was quite empty, no more than 15 people in the room. Perfect. This is what I needed.

I sat down in the most isolated area of the room: the front left corner. Pulling out my phone I noticed a green notification on the screen. I unlocked my phone and began to read it. It was from my friend June.

Heeeeyy giirrrrrlll

Oh god.

I was dropped off today by my mom cause I told her to do so. I looked for you but looks like your bus was late again. Sucks to be you :P. Anyways. I saw Louise this morning and she left a note in your locker. She wants to know if you got it or not but doesn't want to text you. What a snot. Anyways. Text back and say boo ok? Love ya girl.

Could anything get anymore annoying this mor-

Something crashed into my desk making my phone fly to the ground. The screen better not be cracked or I swear some nice shit was going to go down.

Not caring to see if that thing was ok I bent down to pick up my phone and put it back on my desk.

"I'm sorry I didn't see you there. Are you ok?" Oh great. It was a guy. No wonder why I didn't care about the thing.

"It's fine." I said in one of the calmest voices I had. I then plugged my head phones in and blocked out the world.

Only two minuets later someone tapped on my shoulder. I looked at the person and popped and ear bud out.

"What?" I said a little snappishly.

"Cybele? Are you here?"

"When is she ever?" I heard someone whisper.

"I'm here." I raised my hand so she could see where I sat. I saw her nod her head and go back to her computer. Great. Now that that's over. Can I have some time to my self. Jeez.

Putting the ear buds back in my ear, I turned the music in and played all my favorite songs while playing a game on my phone. I have nothing to do since I already finished all of homework. I'm already bored out of my mind. 42 sad minuets passed before home room finally started. I know it's weird. We have home room after classes. I swear there's something wrong with my school.

We're not a very big school nor are we that popular for anything. We're the only school for a good 20 to 30 miles out. Which in my opinion is great. Even though my mom is a bitch, she lets me go where ever I please whenever I please. I swear if this town was any bigger, there'd be a problem. A major problem. Me, I don't do well in large crowds. Meaning if I went to a larger school, there'd be a larger crowd. Get my logic? I thought so.

The first period bell finally rang and I bolted out of the room.

"There goes lightning ghost!"

"That's not even a thing!"

"Well that's what she is."

"She does that all the time. Like come on. We're all going to the same place. Well. At least in the same building."

"It's like she's going to be late for a meeting with the president. Jeez it's only school no one cares."

I didn't have time to scowl or anything at them because I was rushing to my next class band. I had this class with another one of my friends. Her name was Rose and she's had a boy friend for about a year and a half. Talk about commitment. Something I don't have.

"Cybele! Hey! Haven't seen you all weekend!" Yep. She's a party girl, "How's it going?"

"Splendid."
