An hour earlier

Saskia waits impatiently for the trio to come back. They sure are taking their sweet time.

"Here they come," Vesper says as she points towards three figures walking over to them.

Saskia eyes them slightly, but shrugs away the odd feeling that she gets.

The group continue the hike. Saskia feels the unease coming from Caspian. He must have felt it too.

Present Time

Grey finds herself sprawled over the forest floor. She thinks about the possibilities. What can they do about their situation? There is still no solution to the constant question nagging at her mind.

They're lost, and it is only now that the horrifying truth sets in.

"We are done for," Jasper starts. He has his head hidden behind his hands. "We ventured into this forsaken* forest, and now we're going to die here." He shakes like the leaves above his head.

Grey has never seen him like this.she takes a small pebble and throws it at him, hitting his chest. "Don't be so negative, there's still a chance we might be found," she says, trying to lighten the mood with hope. Although her own is starting to fail.

They wait around for hours.

Jessica stands up, "We should make shelter."

Both Grey and Jasper look at her oddly.

"If they don't find us today, we have to make shelter so we don't die tonight," she says, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Which to her it is, and Grey wonders why she hadn't though of it before.

She stands up next to her friend, "You have a point."

"You two look for large leaves, I'm going to search for firewood," Jasper offers as he stands up with them.

"No," Grey says, quickly. "We cannot seperate at all costs."

True. Their worst case scenario might just be separation.

The three of them go deeper into the forest. Jasper collects an armful of firewood as the girls collect large leaves.

They find a small clearing where they set up their shelter.

"Well," Jessica starts, "It could be worse."

Just as she says that, the make-shift roof she tried to make falls down.

"Good going there mutt, you just jinxed it."

She glares at him, "What did you call me you scaled ba-"

A hand shoots to her mouth before she can continue. The owner of the hand takes a look at Jasper, "Stop." She then looks at Jessica, "You two are like children."

They both huff and turn around. Just like children, Grey thinks to herself, smiling.

It starts to get dark. It isn't a suprise that they are all afraid. Each of them can sense it in the other. Lost in a potentially dangerous forest which they know nothing about, who wouldn't be scared?

Jasper gets up. He puts all of the firewood in the center of the small clearing. Afterwards, he makes sure to put rocks around it before blowing fire on the wood, making it burn and stay lit.

Grey stares in awe, "That is amazing."

He smiles, "Like I said, I can heat you up any time." He winks at her.

She rolls her eyes, already accostumed to his way of being. "Not even in your wildest dreams." She smiles, a little humour doesn't hurt, especially now.
