I lounge in my chair, under a woven blanket. The fire is crackling and it brings me a little comfort. The torches have all been put out. And the moon has risen to its peak. I try to wrap my head around all the things that have happened in the past day. Solas was alive and well. Maybe not well, but definitely alive.

I lay thinking and lost in thought, until I feel an unnatural breeze come through the open windows. It's summer, anadromous winds are expected, but this felt different. I look to the archway leading to terrace and I see a dark figure leaning on the wall.

Their ears large and pointy, their hair gone, and a pair of enticing blue eyes. Their armor was Elven and magnificently crafted. I immediately knew who it was.

"Solas....."

"Hello, vhenan."

I stare at him and get up out of my chair. I take the blanket and throw it over the back of the chair. I start to walk up to him slowly. The fire was just bright enough for me to see him. His face was a mixture of: love, anxiousness, and joy.

I keep walking never losing contact with his eyes. I finally reach him. I'm close enough to kiss him, caress his face, hug him and say how much I missed him. I could feel myself about to cry, I had lost him, and then now he was back as a God I heard about as a child. But of course me, being me. I lost myself in my anger at him.

I punched him. I reeled back and hit him square in the jaw.

Whatever he was expecting, he wasn't expecting that. He clutches his cheek in a feeble attempt to mask his shock. He scoffs unbelievably. But with my anger out, I went back to missing him. I closed the small gap between us. I stood on my tiptoes and kissed him. He was hard against me, and I took it as a bad sign. And I felt my tears start to well up.

I started to turn to race off to the stairs. But he grabbed my arm and pulled me into him. He stared down at me, one hand on my arse and the other between my shoulder blades, keeping me close. He leaned down and kissed me. At first it was a light brush of lips, but then it turned into a heated, head-swallowing kiss. My hands wrapped around his neck.

I was tired of missing him. I was tired of looking for him. And after what seemed like my own personal hell, he was here. My Solas, my Fen'Harel. I pulled back. Mostly because I was breathless and I knew I wouldn't be able to stop if we kept going.

"Ir Abelas, Emma Lath."

I started to tear up. And I knew I could no longer stop from crying. "You left.....left.....they told me you were dead. And when I saw you today, I thought maybe I was dead as well." My tears came swiftly now. "I searched until I could no longer search, until I had scoured every part of the land. You were gone. You disappeared after what happened.... Two years.

"I am just now starting to heal, and now what I am I going to do? You are going to be gone and I cannot do it again. The first time nearly killed me, I won't do it again."

He looked down at me sorrowfully. "I know. That is why I am here. I watched at the meeting today. I see how much you care for the world as it is now; How far you are willing to go to save it. But..."

"Garas Quenathra?" I asked bluntly. 'Why are you here?' He smiled slightly in a joking way.

"To beg your forgiveness, and give a proposal."

"What kind of proposal?" My heart suddenly jumped.

"Come with me." He said simply, his eyes were weary, almost tired looking. He hadn't gotten much sleep for a while. His smile was almost too forced, as if he hadn't in a while. His skin a little too tight, as if he had been sick.

"What about my family here? What about my friends?" He gently grabbed my chin, forcing me to look up at him. "It is your choice, I will not try to sway from your duties." I nodded and he let my chin go. But I had an idea.

"Come."

I put my hand over Sera's mouth, instantly awakening her. She panicked, trying to slash at me with a dagger until she saw who I was. "Inky, what is it? Are you all right?" Her expression reminded me of a wild horse, skittish and scared. She grabbed her bow and got out of bed. "Shite Inky, What's it?

"I am fine, come outside. There is someone I want you to see."

I drag her half-asleep self outside the tavern and towards the courtyard. All the while she whispered loudly about 'her shitin' beauty sleep was bein' interrupted.' I pulled her about fifteen feet from the Morrigan's pavilion, turned facing away from it."You have to promise not to attack immediately, yes?" She rolled her eyes and nodded.

I smiled and her eyebrows creased together in confusion. I whispered, "turn around."

Then she saw him. And her cute confusion morphed into a pure fury. Before I could blink, she had pulled out an arrow, aimed it, and shot it. I leapt to stop it. But it was all for naught. The arrow made it halfway to Solas, before he put his hand out and the arrow stopped mid-air and fell to the ground.

"You wernt' supposed to stop the arrow, Baldy! Friggin' magic. Makes shooting you 'arder. Stupid, friggin'....." She shouted.

"Well I don't wish to die currently, so my apologies, Sera." He said calmly.

Sera's expression changed. Her eyes became soft and sad. But then turned to some sort of angry, sad. "You wernt' there. You didn't see it. Inky cried for weeks, months, you stupid, friggin frigger! She didn't eat. Got sick. I prayed. I don't pray.

"We killed Coryphenus. I shot that baddy up with my arrows! We won. We were supposed to be happy! Inky, nearly died! I prayed. To what, don't know. And it's your fault, innit? You's why I prayed."

Solas looked down at his feet, his hands clenched at his sides. "You don't think I know that? That's why I'm back."

Sera turned to me, "You like him, Inky?"

I nodded. She sighed, "Then I won't stick him with arrows. But if he does it again, no promises." I laughed.

"Thank you Sera."

I hugged her. She didn't expect it, so she was stiff in my arms at first, but she melted.

"Why'd you tell me about 'im?"

I giggled, "because I knew if you didn't shoot him, neither would Bull and Varric." She laughed and yawned. "Sorry for waking you up." She nodded.

Walking away, she called, "Inky, if you ever wake me up afor noon, I'm gonna stick you with arrows! And Baldy, if you leave again I'll stick you too!"

I walked over to Solas, who was smiling. "Why did you bring her? I didn't hear that whole part." I took his hands in mine. "To show you that not only I missed you. I thought maybe if you saw Sera, you might realize we all miss you, even if they threaten to kill you.

"And to show you they're worth saving. We worked hard to save people like Sera. You are wanting to kill my family. Solas, please understand why I can't let you do that."

"I am making the world as it should have been. You are risking our culture for Shems. They enslaved us and..."

"Solas, listen to yourself. Those were mistakes made two thousand years ago. You used to rave about the Dalish being stuck in their ways, them being too stubborn to forgive and forget. It is time to forgive. Solas, look at Cassandra and Varric and Bull and Cullen and Blackwall! Solas think about what you plan on doing. My friends, our friends." I started to cry.

"The world's not perfect, but it is beautiful. And sometimes we don't need to make it perfect we just need it to be there. Not all Shems are what you think. I love you, Solas... but if you try to destroy the world you and I saved all that time ago, I won't hesitate to kill you first. Just think about it, and come to me tomorrow night."

He gazed back at me, "wait for me." He said longingly.

"I will always wait for you."
