I flip over the small Figurine of Maferath the Betrayer in my hand. It's worn, smooth edges, evidence of my infatuation of it. I had nothing of home with me on my journey with the Inquisition, and so when on the road to the Temple of Sacred Ashes, when I first met Solas, I had picked up the small statuette for sentimentally's sake.

Knock knock

"Come In." I call. When I see who had called on me, I stood from my desk, nervous emotions immediately started flurring in me. I saw him walking up the stairs and toward my desk. "Solas, what brings you here at this hour?" Suddenly realizing it was almost midnight. "I could not sleep, so then then I walked around Skyhold, and my path led me here. I figured you were awake, I saw your lamp glowing from the courtyard." He said, reaching my desk.

"Ohh, yes." I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. "I have also been having trouble sleeping. Corypheous is upon us and there is still so much to do. It feels as if there is no time to sleep, and when I do actually rest, all I have are nightmares, which cause no rest anyway."

"I could help you if you wish, Inquisitor. I have a small healing power, it may not work but..." He held out his hand to me, offering me a smile. "Alright." I took his hand, and he guided me to the bed. "Lie very still and I will see what I can do." I nodded. I sat on the bed, leaving my boots on, I crawled ontop of the bed. I tried not to think of how awkward this situation was, but failed miserably. "Hamin, Len" He said, kneeling by the bedside.

I laughed. "I'm no child, Solas." I smiled shyly, feeling the blush creep up on me like fog. "No, you're a beautiful young woman." He said looking into my eyes. I looked down hoping I could just melt because I knew my red cheeks and ears were giving me away. "No one has ever called me beautiful." He frowned. "Just because it goes unsaid, does not make it untrue." He whispered. "That's very sweet of you." I whispered back.

"Lana, would you help me with something?" He asked nervously. "Of course, Solas. Anything." He extended his hand over my stomach and I saw the magic in his hands come to life. He swiftly, made circular motions over me. He bit his lip. "Solas, whatever it is you are so nervous about, I'm sure I can help, or at least find someone who can." He sighed. "Well, there is a woman... A very brilliant and... cunning and... wonderful woman, whom I have found myself enthralled with. I'm not sure if she... shares my feelings, and I want to find out if she does. Do you have any... suggestions?"

I felt my heart sink. I tried to look contemplative, but truly I was very unhappy and devastated. "Well, you can... just ask her. You can pick or buy her flowers, you can set up a picnic, ask her to an outing. There are many options." I sniffed. "What would you want?" He asked. I smiled. "I wouldn't care, if he was the one."

"What if I said the woman I have found myself enthralled with... was you?"

I gasped.

"Do you mean that? Truly?" I pleaded. He smiled slightly. "I do. Do you share my feelings, vhenan?" I stared into his eyes, they were deep and anxious. "Would you be happy if I said yes?" I then sat up, grabbing his hands in the process. He was kneeling on the floor and I was sitting on the bed, looking down at him. He stood, never letting go of my hands. "It would make me extremely happy." I then stood and found myself enriched in his kiss.

I know not how long we stood by that bed in each other's arms but I knew that that night was the beginning of a wonderful journey.
